Normal Monitor Symptoms

• Screen may flicker during initial use due to fluorescent light.
• Slightly uneven brightness may be visible depending on the desktop pattern.

1.1 Welcome!

Thank you for purchasing the ASUS® LCD monitor. Enjoy the enhanced viewing experience with its crisp, broad, and bright display.

1.2 Package Contents

1.3 Assembling the Monitor

To assemble the monitor:

1. Align the screw hole on the arm with the bundled screw on the base. Insert the base into the arm.
2. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled screw (Base screw size: M6 x 17mm).

1.4 Connect Cables

1.4.1 Rear of the LCD Monitor

The rear of the monitor features the following ports:

1.5 Monitor Introduction

1.5.1 Using the Controls Button

The control button on the back of the monitor is used to adjust image settings.

• Power Indicator: White (ON), Amber (Standby mode), OFF.
• Power Button: Turns the monitor on/off.
• GameVisual Button: Switches between seven video preset modes (Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS, sRGB, MOBA) with GameVisual™ Video Intelligence Technology.
• GamePlus Button: Provides a toolkit for gaming, including Crosshair, Timer, FPS Counter, Stopwatch, and Display Alignment.
• Close Button (X): Exits the OSD menu.
• 5-way Button (☰): Navigates the OSD menu, selects items, and adjusts values.

Activating GamePlus: Press the GamePlus Button to enter the menu, select a function (Crosshair, Timer, FPS Counter, Stopwatch, Display Alignment), and confirm. The 5-way key can move the on-screen display.

2.1 Adjusting the Monitor

For optimal viewing, adjust the monitor to a comfortable angle. Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling. The monitor can be tilted from +23° to -5°.

2.2 Detaching the Arm/Stand (for VESA Wall Mount)

The stand is detachable for VESA wall mounting.

1. Disconnect cables and place the monitor facedown on its packaging.
2. Remove the four screws securing the arm to the rear of the monitor.
3. Detach the stand from the monitor.

3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu

3.1.1 How to Reconfigure

1. Press the center of the 5-way button to activate the OSD menu.
2. Use the up/down buttons (△/▽) to toggle between options.
3. Press the center key to select a highlighted item.
4. Use the up/down buttons to select the desired parameter.
5. Press the center key to enter the slide bar and use the up/down buttons to make changes.
6. Use the left/right buttons (◁/▷) to navigate the menu.

3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction

1. Gaming

This section includes settings for gaming:

• Overclocking: Adjusts the refresh rate.
• Variable OD: Adjusts Overdrive levels from 0 to 5 (default is 3).
• Variable Refresh Rate: Enables Adaptive-Sync for smoother visuals.
• ELMB: Reduces motion blur and ghosting.
• GamePlus: Activates on-screen gaming tools.
• GameVisual: Selects from seven video preset modes.
• Shadow Boost: Enhances dark tones in images.

Note: Some settings may be unavailable in specific GameVisual modes (Racing, sRGB, MOBA).

2. Image

Adjust image settings:

• Brightness: Adjusts brightness from 0 to 100.
• Contrast: Adjusts contrast from 0 to 100.
• VividPixel: Enhances image clarity and detail (0-100).
• ASCR: Enables or disables dynamic contrast ratio (disabled when ELMB is on).
• Aspect Control: Adjusts aspect ratio to "Full" or 4:3.
• Blue Light Filter: Reduces blue light emission to protect eyes. Levels 1-3 are adjustable; Level 4 is optimized and compliant with TUV Low Blue Light Certification.

Recommendations for eye care are provided, including taking breaks, resting eyes, and performing eye exercises.

3. Color

Adjust color settings:

• Color Temp.: Selects from Cool, Normal, Warm, or User Mode.
• Saturation: Adjusts color saturation from 0 to 100.
• In User Mode, R, G, and B values can be adjusted from 0 to 100.

4. Input Select

Select the input source (HDMI-1, HDMI-2, DisplayPort) and toggle Auto Input Detection.

5. MyFavorite

Customize settings:

• Shortcut: Assign functions like GamePlus, GameVisual, Brightness, etc., to shortcut keys.
• Customized Setting: Save your preferred settings.

6. System Setup

Configure system settings:

• Language: Select OSD language from a list of available languages.
• Sound: Adjust volume or mute audio.
• Power Setting: Select power saving modes.
• Power Indicator: Turn the power LED on/off.
