Suffcient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the chimney to prevent back drafting. F ollow the heating equipment manufacturer's guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society for Heating, Ref rigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities. 5. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors. 6. This appliance is designed to be operated by adults. Childr en were not allowed to temper with the controls or play with this appliance. 7. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden cables. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded. WARNING Improper grounding can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded. Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet near the appliance. CAUTION To reduce risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, be sure to duct air outside - Do not vent exhaust air into spaces within walls or ceilings or into attics, crawl spaces, or garages. Use only with range hood cord-connection kits that have been investigated and found acceptable for use with this model range hood. 7 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 1-3 + 8mm Hole 27.56" Wall + 8mm Hole + 1/4" Spacing 1. Drill two 8mm holes in position for Wall Anchor (Part B) placement. 2. Tap Wall Anchors securely into each of the drilled holes. 3. After Wall Anchors have been tapped in place, Insert st5 Screws, but leave 1/4 of the screw sticking out of the wall. (This will give your Range hood something to hang onto). Step 4 Step 5 OR BACK OF UNIT 4. Install the 6" round Aluminum duct, secure the round aluminum duct to the vent hole at the top of the hood unit using HVAC Aluminum foil tape. (Not available. to be purchased) If mounting to a cabinet, skip step 5 and proceed with step 6-11. 5. If mounting to the wall only, drill a 6-1/4 round hole on the back wall above the hood, OR into the ceiling directly above the hood. 5a. Remove baffle filters from underneath the hood and set them aside. 5b. Lift the hood and hang the hood unit on the back wall using the screws drilled in Step 3. Once the hood is securely hung on the wall, tighten the screws from the interior of the hood. 5c. Pull round aluminum duct through the newly drilled hole in the wall. Plug unit into power outlet. Reinstall baffle filters. 8 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Wall Step 6 + 8" + ELECTRICAL ACCESS HOLE 6. Drill a 8" round hole into the bottom of the cabinet. Drill a 1-1/2 hole into the bottom of the cabinet for the Electrical Access hole. 6a. Pull the round duct & power cord through the bottom of the new cabinet holes. Step 7 7. Lift the hood and hang the hood unit on the back wall using screws drilled in Step 3. Step 8-9 st5 8. Once the hood is hung to the back wall, remove the baffle filters from underneath the hood. 9. Drill each of the five pieces of St5 screws (Part C) into the bottom of the cabinet using the five screw holes at top of the hood. 10. Once the hood is secured into the cabinet, tighten the wood screws located in the back of the hood. Install Baffle filters back into place. Make sure hood is secured by pressing on it. Plug unit into power outlet. 9 Installation Procedures Safety Warning: Hood may have very sharp edges. Please w ear protective gloves if it is necessary to remove any parts from installing, c leaning or servicing. Installation Height 1. The distance between the stove surface and the underside of the range hood must be in the range of 26"-30" Fig(2-A). The duct opening size is in Fig 2(B) Vent duct length 2. The length of the vent duct should be minimized to avoid air turbulence inside the duct. (Fig (2-B). 6" 6" (C) Balance level: 3. The range hood must be leveled during the installation. An unleveled installation hood may cause improper operation, leaks and oil spill over from oil collectors. Fig(2-C) Level Not level 4. The air outlet must not be connected to the chimney flues or combustion gas ducts. The air outlet must not be connected to ventilation ducts for rooms in which fuel-burming appliances are installed. 10 11 Parts #supplied Note: The fasteners included may not be suitable to your cabinet. Please check with the installer on proper fasteners to be used based on the material makeup of your cabinet. (A) Range hood (B) Power cord for hard wiring. C B D 12 13 OPERATION INSTRUCTION Function Key and Remote control operation 1. When power on, press 3 seconds to enter into time setting mode. Then press "-" and "+" to set hour, after hour confirmed, press again to set minute, press "-" and "+" to set minute. 2. In motor working mode, press once to enter into 3 minutes delay turn off mode, press again to set from 3-59 minutes, no operation for 5 seconds to start count down delay turn off. During this time button flashes, can change speeds. In motor working mode, press "-" to set from speed 3 to 1, press again to stop the motor. In motor working mode, press "+" to set from speed 1 to 3, max speed 3. 1. In standby mode, press to turn on or turn off the light. 2. In standby mode, press 3 seconds to set 12 or 24 hour. In standby mode, press once to start all function buttons. In motor working mode, press once to start delay turn off for 60 seconds, press again to turn off the hood. In standby mode, press once to start speed 3. Remote receiver. 14 Maintenance Caution: Never put your hand into the area housing while the fan is operating. F or the optimal level of operation, c lean the range hood surface, f an, and st ainless steel flter regularly. Use only mild soap or detergent solutions to clean the range hood surface. Dr y surface using soft cloth. Using a stainless steel cleaner to bring the shadow back into a stainless steel fnish. Clean the flter once a week or according to use status. Press the buckle of the filter slightly, take off the filter and soak it into warm soapy water. Clean the motor fan and other inside parts, once every half year or according to usage status by qualified person. DO NOT clean motor with water or other liquid. 15 To Replace Light Caution: LED light can not replace a new bulb, r eplace the whole LED light. Make sure all the control switches are off, and the r ange hoods unplugged! Please follow below instructions: Take out the fliters and cut off the wire connection of the light, press the spring according to the arrow direction, then y ou can take off the LED light unit. You can replace a new LED light unit no more than rating! Then put the light unit to the hood in reverse direction. Connect the wire of the lamp. Fit on the flters. Installation instructions Preparing the range hood: 1. Open the electrical knockout which is best for your wiring. 2. Fix the shutter to the range hood's vent; prevent the leakage of oil by taping the connection with aluminum metal adhesive tape, or duct tape. 3. Attach the ruber support to the back of the range hood. 4. Unscrew and remove the range hood's bottom cover. Important safety instructions 1. Pass the wiring through the electrical knockout hole in the range hood. 2. Put the range hood onto the bottom of the cabinet. Make sure the rear side is close to the wall, and the hood is equally spaced on each side and that the top of the range hood is attached to the cabinet. On each side of the range hood, use 2pcs screws to fix the body to the cabinet. 3. Connect the green wire from power source to the green ground wire on the range hood. Make the electrical connection by fastening the white wire line to white and the black wire to black. 4. Reinstall the range hood's bottom cover and stainless steel baffle filters. 5. Reinstall the oil container. 6.
