Great treasures in even smaller places

BrightSpeed Series

GE Healthcare's BrightSpeed Series 4, 8 & 16 offers multi-detector CT capabilities with maximum convenience in an ultra-compact design. Built with LightSpeed VCT technology inside and a compact footprint on the outside, the BrightSpeed Series provides high-quality images across a wide range of clinical applications, suitable for settings with space limitations. The optional Freedom Workspace enhances patient visibility and radiographer ergonomics. The BrightSpeed Series is described as capable, compact, and convenient, delivering everything you need in a multi-detector CT scanner.

BrightSpeed Series

Ultra compact size...

Requiring a minimum room size of just 3.3 m x 5.3 m (down to 17.5 m²), the BrightSpeed Series' smaller system footprint fits easily just about anywhere – even in the same space as many single-slice systems. This ultra-compact form optimizes the speed, power, and resolution needed for all kinds of CT routine applications. The BrightSpeed Series is designed to fit into most existing single-slice CT rooms.

* Requires minimum room size without PDU, UPS, and with small room feature.

Breakthrough Technology inside...

GE R&D teams have introduced major breakthroughs with the LightSpeed VCT, such as the Volara Data Acquisition System and the Xtream FX workflow engine. The BrightSpeed Series incorporates these innovations, ensuring a reliable system with high image quality and effective productivity in a compact design, ready to expand your CT capabilities.

Capable to See More...

GE's exclusive Volara™ 24-bit Digital Data Acquisition System (DAS) delivers high processing power for high-resolution images and low-dose performance. It reduces noise by up to 33%, resulting in unprecedented image quality, even in difficult areas such as shoulders, hips, and large patients, as well as in low-contrast soft-tissue studies and pediatric exams.

Capable to perform better...

The Solarix™ tube in the BrightSpeed Series provides up to 280 mAs (350 mA at 0.8 sec rotation), offering ample power for exceptionally high-quality diagnostic images when combined with the Volara DAS. The Solarix tube's lower cost improves overall life cycle costs, resulting in versatile, reliable, and cost-efficient imaging.

Capable to cover more...

The new BrightSpeed Series offers sufficient power for demanding applications like peripheral run-off in Angio CT. It allows for a 1400 mm scannable range while maintaining outstanding image quality.

Capable to Produce Faster...

The Xtream FX Workflow and productivity engine accelerates image processing with a transfer speed up to 16fps in real-time during acquisition and a reconstruction speed of up to 6fps*. This balanced system design aims to eliminate bottlenecks.

* Optional feature.

Convenient

Exceptional ease of use...

A single, simple, and powerful operator console provides the same familiar interface as on GE's LightSpeed systems, putting automated processing features at your fingertips while eliminating the complexity of a second console. The optional Freedom Workspace ensures smoother exams and higher technologist productivity. BrightSpeed Series systems feature the same user interface used on over 5,000 installed LightSpeed systems, known well by thousands of technologists.

An inspired cockpit

The optional Freedom Workspace offers sit/stand flexibility for maximum comfort. Remote location of the operator console hardware can decrease noise and heat, further enhancing the working environment. It is designed to reduce stress and fatigue, allowing users to do more.

Patient comfort

The gantry and Workspace design contribute to patient reassurance. Sit/stand flexibility and horizontal/vertical monitor flexibility allow operators clear visibility and interaction with the patient. Exclusive breathing lights and digital countdown timers help coach patients through breath-holds to remain motionless during scans. AutoVoice provides patient instructions in any language.

Increased Workflow...

The Xtream FX workflow and productivity engine accelerates image processing. A simple acquisition interface minimizes training and maximizes technologist utilization. Direct-Multi-Planar Reconstruction (DMPR) allows prospective presentation of datasets in axial, sagittal, coronal, and oblique planes. Volume Review Routine applications, including One-Touch protocols and autosegmentation tools, personalize image presentations. Prospective Auto-Transfer enables flexible image distribution.

The workflow includes steps: Acquire, Reconstruct, Diagnose, Report, Quick reformat, Share (to PACS, AW Reading Room).

Clinical results

The BrightSpeed Series delivers full multi-detector clinical capabilities across a full range of exams. It enables new clinical applications not possible with single or dual-detector systems, keeping users at the forefront of multi-slice technology.
