End Strainer Posts - Setup

This section details the setup of end strainer posts for free-standing fences.

Key Elements

End and Corner Strainer Post (A): A robust post designed to anchor fence lines. It features multiple holes for attaching tensioning systems and wires.

Installation Notes:

Stays are positioned on the inside of the fence.
All posts and stays can be set in concrete or soil crete for maximum stability.
Recommended depths for concreting posts: 1.5m posts require 0.3m depth, 2.4m posts require 0.4m depth, and 3.0m posts require 0.6m depth.

Corner Strainer Posts - Setup

This section details the setup of corner strainer posts.

A plastic cap is fitted onto the top of the posts to reduce water damage.

Intermediate Strainer Posts - Setup

This section details the setup of intermediate strainer posts.

Tensioning System Option A

Nemtek offers two systems for tensioning free-standing fences. Option A utilizes a compression spring on the opposite side of the tensioner.

Key Elements

Combo Tensioner Hybrid BB (A): ES-CTNTBB. A device used to adjust fence wire tension.

Heavy Duty Compression Spring 3 (B): ES-CNT3. A spring used in conjunction with the tensioner to maintain wire tension.

Tensioning System Option B

Option B combines the tensioner and the spring tensioner into one hybrid compression spring. NOTE: If tension sensor DATS3 is used, replace the ultra strain insulator with the DATS3 and use in conjunction with option B.

Ultra Strain Insulator (A): EI-STB/R. An insulator designed to prevent electrical current from passing through the fence wire to the post.

Intermediate Posts - Y-Pickets

This section covers intermediate posts, specifically the Y-Picket type.

Key Elements

Y-Picket (A): An intermediate fence post.

Picket Insulator (B): EI-PI or Pop Through Hole Insulator EI-POPEM/B/ULT. These insulators are attached to the picket to hold the fence wires and prevent electrical leakage.

Y Picket Post Driver (C): TL-PDY. A tool used to drive the Y-pickets into the ground.

Installation Notes:

Maximum spacing between intermediate posts is 3m for security.
To avoid damage, insulators should only be placed onto the Y-picket after the picket has been driven into the ground.
Insulators are positioned on the outside of the fence.
Ground level depths for Y-pickets: 1.5m picket planted 0.3m into the ground, 2.4m picket planted 0.5m into the ground, 3.0m picket planted 0.6m into the ground.

WARRANTY

Unless otherwise specified, all Nemtek energizers have a 2-year warranty, and all other fencing components have a 1-year warranty from the date of sale against defects due to faulty workmanship or materials. Nemtek (Pty) Ltd will, at its discretion, either repair or replace a product that proves to be defective.

Nemtek (Pty) Ltd does not guarantee that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted and totally error-free. Faulty products must be returned to one of the Nemtek Group outlets. The buyer shall pay all shipping and other charges for the return of the product to Nemtek (Pty) Ltd.

LIMITATION OF WARRANTY

The warranty does not apply to defects resulting from acts of God, modifications made by the buyer or any third party, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident or mishandling.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES

The remedies provided herein are Nemtek (Pty) Ltd's sole liability and the buyers sole and exclusive remedies for breach of warranty. Nemtek (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential, direct or indirect damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory. The foregoing warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether expressed, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and suitability for a particular purpose.
