Frame Extension (Qty 2) TOOLS REQUIRED Gate Assembly · Phillips Screwdriver (No. 3) Gate Installation · #2 Torque Head Driver/Drill Bit · Drill or Impact Driver · Tape Measure Post 5x5 Installation · Wheelbarrow · Post Hole Digger and Shovel BEFORE YOU BEGIN · Verify the location of all underground utilities o Aids: Local building departments, utility companies, or utility location service at 811 · Locate property line · Consult with HOA, if applicable, and follow CC&Rs Guidelines · Consult local and regional building codes · Obtain all necessary permits as required by building codes 1. LAY OUT FENCE LOCATION Gates are sold at 45.5" wide, for a 48.6" opening 1. Using stakes and a string line, mark out the fence location. 2. Locate gate placement and mark post hole locations for the gate posts accordingly. The Gate opening should be 48.6" wide. 3. Mark the locations of corners and ends of the fence. 4. Mark locations of intermediate fence posts between ends, corners and gate posts. Post should be located no wider than 69" (5.75') apart for each fence panel. 2. GATE ASSEMBLY 2.1 FRAME ASSEMBLY 1. Insert the "HORIZONTAL T FRAME" into the "FRAME EXTENSION" to ensure a precise fit. 2. Firmly press the two parts together until they fit completely together 3. Place the assembled frame inside the U-Channel posts. 4. Make sure the frame is level and properly positioned. HORIZONTAL "T" FRAME 2. T&G BOARD ASSEMBLY INSIDE FRAME 1. The boards length will fit the inside of the gate frame 2. To ensure consistent spacing between boards, position the first board in the desired location, place spacers on each side of it to create the necessary gap for expansion, then place the next board tightly against the spacers. Repeat this process for each subsequent board, always using spacers to maintain uniform gaps 3. Between each board, place the included spacers at both ends. FRAME EXTENTION FRAME EXTENTION 1. Place each post to enclose the frame. HORIZONTAL "T" FRAME 3. BOARD ASSEMBLY INSIDE FRAME 3.1 Composite Post Assembly 4. SECURE THE GATE USING THE SCREWS (INCLUDED) IN TO EACH CORNER 7. 1. Please use the included screw to attach the frame to the post to keep it fixed in place in each corner. 6. TOP CAP INSTALLATION 1. Slide the Top Cap into the Top Cap Routed space on the top of the U-Channel post. 2. Fix into positions using one (1) 1-3/4" Composites Screw and a drill. 3. Repeat for all U-Channel Posts. 4. 3. GATE POST SUPPORT 3.1 INSTALL 5X5 POST ON THE GROUND 1. Prepare the ground to insert posts by digging 12 inches diameter holes. 2. Make sure to check with your local utility providers to confirm where underground pipes and cables are before you start digging. 1. Post Burial Depth Recommendations · Bury one-third of the above ground height of the post. · The hole for the footing should be three times the diameter of the post. · Deeper holes are needed for unstable soil, windy weather, or gate posts. 4.
