This instruction manual provides essential information for setting up and using your JBL Xtreme 3 portable Bluetooth speaker.
What's in the Box
- JBL Xtreme 3 Speaker
- Power adapter and plug(s) (plug types vary by regions)
- USB-C charging cable
- Shoulder strap
Bluetooth Pairing
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button ? on the speaker until the indicator light flashes.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth ON, and select "JBL Xtreme 3".
- The indicator light will turn solid, and you will hear an audio confirmation upon successful connection.
Playback Controls
Control your music directly from the speaker:
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button ▶️/⏸️ once.
- Next Track: Press the Play/Pause button ▶️/⏸️ twice.
- Volume Up: Press the Volume Up button ?.
- Volume Down: Press the Volume Down button ?.
PartyBoost
Connect multiple compatible JBL speakers for a louder sound experience:
- Press the PartyBoost button ? on the first speaker.
- Press the PartyBoost button ? on other compatible JBL speakers to link them.
- The speakers will now play in sync.
JBL Portable App
Use the JBL Portable app for speaker configuration and software upgrades. Download from Google Play or the App Store.
Charging
Connect the speaker to a power source using the provided USB-C cable and adapter. The battery indicator ? shows the charging status.
Charging Status: Indicator lights show the current battery level (e.g., 20%, 50%, 100%). Fully charged when all lights are solid.
Battery charge time: Approximately 2.5 hours (with 20V/3A charger).
Powerbank
Charge your other devices by connecting them to the USB-A or USB-C port on the JBL Xtreme 3.
Waterproof & Dustproof IP67
The JBL Xtreme 3 is rated IP67, meaning it is protected against dust and can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Ensure all ports are sealed before exposure to water ??.

Battery Care
To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life varies with usage and environmental conditions.
Do not expose the speaker to liquids without removing cable connections. Do not expose to water while charging. If a spill occurs, do not charge until completely dry and clean. Charging while wet may cause permanent damage.
Using an external adapter or USB-C cable may affect speaker performance during charging.
