SmartSolar Charge Controllers with load output
MPPT 75/10, 75/15, 100/15, 100/20-48V
Victron Energy offers SmartSolar Charge Controllers with load output, featuring advanced technology for efficient solar energy management. These controllers are available in several models: MPPT 75/10, 75/15, 100/15, and 100/20-48V.
Key Features:
- Bluetooth Smart built-in: Enables wireless setup, monitoring, updating, and synchronization of SmartSolar Charge Controllers.
- VE.Direct: Provides a wired data connection to devices like Color Control GX, other GX products, or PCs.
- Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT): Significantly improves energy harvest, especially in changing light conditions, by up to 30% compared to PWM controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
- Load output: Prevents battery over-discharge by connecting loads to this output. The load disconnects when the battery reaches a pre-set voltage. An intelligent battery management algorithm (Battery Life) can also be selected. The load output is short circuit proof.
- Battery Life: intelligent battery management: Monitors battery state of charge and adjusts the load disconnect level to ensure batteries are not continually cycled in a partially charged state, which can damage lead-acid batteries. It aims to achieve a nearly 100% recharge about once a week.
- Programmable battery charge algorithm: Customizable charging algorithms are available via the software.
- Day/night timing and light dimming option: Features for controlling loads based on time and light levels.
- Internal temperature sensor: Compensates absorption and float charge voltage for temperature variations.
- Optional external battery voltage and temperature sensing via Bluetooth: Can utilize a Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor for accurate battery data.
- Fully discharged battery recovery function: Initiates charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It can also reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with an integrated disconnect function.

Notes:
- 1a) If more PV power is connected, the controller will limit input power.
- 1b) The PV voltage must exceed Vbat + 5V for the controller to start. Thereafter, the minimum PV voltage is Vbat + 1V.
- 2) A PV array with a higher short circuit current may damage the controller.
