This guide provides detailed information about the Volkswagen e-Golf and the e-Golf Executive Edition, including specifications, pricing, grants, incentives, and available options. The information is effective from July 1, 2019, for the MY2020 models.

The e-Golf and e-Golf Executive Edition share many features, with the Executive Edition offering additional premium interior and exterior equipment.

Grants and Incentives
Grants
- VRT REBATE: €5,000 available off the VRT for private and commercial use.
- SEAI GRANT: €5,000 available off the RRP for private use; €3,800 available off the RRP for commercial use.
- HOME CHARGER INSTALLATION GRANT: €600 rebate following installation and signoff by a SafeElectric registered installer.
Incentives
- FREE PUBLIC CHARGING: e-Golf owners can apply to ESB eCARS for an access card to the public charging network. Visit esb.ie/our-businesses/ecars/register-for-charging.
- CHARGE POINT MAP: ESB eCARS manages a free app to identify charge points and their availability. Visit esb.ie/our-businesses/ecars/charge-point-map.
- TOLL FEES: From July 2018-2022, an Electric Vehicle tolling incentive offers savings of up to €500 per annum.
- 0% BENEFIT IN KIND (BIK): Battery Electric Vehicles used as Company cars are exempt from BIK for 3-5 years. Consult an accountant or tax advisor for eligibility.
- ACCELERATED CAPITAL ALLOWANCE: Allows companies to deduct the full cost of equipment from taxable profits in the same year of purchase. Subject to standard wear and tear allowance rules.
- FREE/REDUCED PARKING: Some local authorities offer free parking when charging.
