ANANDA D15 Manual
A. About the Manual
This Manual aims to help you learn about installing and operating the D15-MSUP display.
B. Appearance and size
Material and Color
The D15-MSUP display features an emerald green LED display with 3-button operation. It has a light and beautiful appearance with a clear interface. It uses a four-layer PCB, nylon buckle, and an ABS shell. The shell material allows normal use at temperatures from -20 °C to 60 °C and ensures good mechanical properties.
Illustration
Illustration (Pic 2-1): The display unit is shown from multiple angles. A separate image shows the display unit held in hand, with illuminated green LEDs indicating battery level and assistance level, alongside the ANANDA logo.
Diagram
Diagram (Pic 2-2): Technical diagrams show the dimensions of the D15-MSUP display. One side view indicates dimensions of 63mm and 48mm. A front/top view indicates a dimension of 47mm and the label "TRUE R11.10".
C. Product Functions
The D15-MSUP display is an emerald green LED display compatible with 24V/36V/48V batteries. It integrates a headlight switch function. This instrument communicates with the controller and battery via UART communication. The main functions of the D15 are:
- Light Status
- Pas Level
- Battery Capacity
- Error Code
- Walking Assistant
Display Area (Pic 3-1, Pic 3-2): When the display is turned on, an LED marquee is shown. The interface design and LED selection are clearly visible even in sunlight and are not glaring, providing a comfortable viewing experience. The refreshing design and unique scheme make it convenient for users. The illustration shows buttons labeled "On/Off", "Plus", "Minus", and display areas labeled "Pas level", "Remain battery".
D. Bottom Definition
The D15-MSUP is equipped with 3 buttons: Power/Mode (On/Off), Plus (+), and Minus (-).
E. Installation
Fix the display and bolt it onto the handlebar. Adjust the proper angle of view and screw the bolt into an easy-to-manipulate position. Tighten the screws to complete the installation.
Installation Visuals: Images show the display being attached to a handlebar and screws being tightened.
F. Operation
1. Switch on/off
Long press the Power/Mode button for 1 second to turn the display on. An LED marquee will appear. The power-assisted gear defaults to 1st gear. The right LED indicates battery power, and the instrument provides power to the controller. To turn off the power system, press and hold the Power/Mode button for 2 seconds while the display is on. In the off state, the meter consumes less than 1µA leakage current.
Operation Visual (Pic 6-1): An illustration shows the display with labels indicating "Long press 1s to start; long press 2s to turn off" for the Power/Mode button.
2. Turning on/off the lights
In the power-on state, long press the Power/Mode button for 2 seconds to turn the headlights on. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds again to turn the headlights off.
Operation Visual (Pic 6-2): An illustration shows the display with labels indicating how to turn headlights on/off by long-pressing the Power/Mode button.
3. Pas level and Walking Assistant Mode
In the power-on state, the PAS (Pedal Assist System) level is displayed using 5 segments of LEDs. The electric vehicle assist gear position is switched by using the Plus and Minus buttons, which also changes the motor output power. The instrument output power range is 0-5 oas (PAS range is adjustable after starting; default is 1 file). The LEDs on the left side of the booster gear display the PAS level from bottom to top.
To enter Walking Assistant mode, press and hold the Minus button without releasing it. All LEDs will flash to indicate Walking Assistant mode. Release the Minus button to exit this mode, and the PAS LEDs will stop flashing. Any PAS level can be selected.
Operation Visual (Pic 6-3): An illustration shows the display with labels: "During working, press Plus to add Pas, default is 0-5" and "During working, press Minus to decrease pas, and long press to start Walking Assistant Mode".
4. Battery Capacity
The battery power is displayed in 5 segments. When the battery is fully charged, the rightmost LED is fully illuminated. When the battery is under voltage, the rightmost LED flashes, indicating it needs to be charged immediately. The battery level is displayed from bottom to top in increments.
Battery Display Visual (Pic 6-4): An illustration shows the display with labels explaining that the 5-segment LED display indicates power increase from bottom to top, and the first LED on the right flashes when the battery is low.
5. Error Code
When the electric vehicle's electronic control system fails, the meter LED will flash to display an error code. Normal work will stop. The fault display interface can only be exited when the fault is eliminated. If the meter is turned off without troubleshooting, it will not work normally after restarting. The error reasons are detailed in the attached error code list.
G. Wire harness
The D15-MSUP display uses a 5-pin lead-out cable powered by a 24V/36V/48V battery. The pin assignments are:
- 1. Power supply: Positive (Red line)
- 2. Ground: Black line
- 3. Communication T (Transmit): Yellow line
- 4. Communication R (Receive): Green line
- 5. Weak electric lock: Blue line
Wire Harness Diagram (5 pin): A diagram shows a 5-pin connector with the following connections: Red (36V/Power), Black (GND), Yellow (TX), Green (RX), Blue (SW).

Troubleshooting common issues:
If the 5-core cable connected to the controller fails:
- The meter cannot be turned on and the LED is not displayed. Possible cause: The main power cord is not connected or the controller is out of phase.
- The meter can be turned on, but it stops working after 3 seconds. Possible reason: One of the green and yellow signal lines connected to the controller is open.
