2. System Layout
Figure shows the placement of a Hide-Away 6CD-Changer, illustrating installation locations under the driver and passenger seats. It also indicates the routing of excess wiring.

NOTE: The preferred position is under the LH-seat (passenger seat). If no (TBT) Navigation System is applied, the CD-changer can be fitted under the RH-seat (driver seat).
3. Combo / Add on Unit Installation
3.1 Vehicle disassembly
- Remove the gear box side covers (1 R) and (2 L) using a nylon pry tool. These covers are secured by 3 clips and 4 clips, and 2 nails.
- Remove the side clusters (4 L) and (3 R) using a nylon pry tool. These clusters are secured by 6 clips and 6 clips, and 2 nails.
- Loosen bolt (5) and remove connector (6). Panel (10) is the Centre cluster panel, and (13) is the Harness protection.
- Remove the ashtray (7) and the cover (8). These are secured by 5 clips. Then, remove the centre cluster panel (10), which is secured by 4 bolts (100).
- Remove the bracket (11 R). This bracket is secured by 3 screws (101). (10) is the Centre cluster panel, and (50) is a Blanket.
- Remove the bracket (12 L). This bracket is secured by 3 screws (102). (10) is the Centre cluster panel, (13) is the Harness protection, and (50) is a Blanket.
- Remove the harness protection (13). This is secured by 2 clips. (15) is the Antenna amplifier connector clip, and (12) is the Bracket (L).
3.2 1.4DIN Audio Installation
- Fit the bracket (11 R) to the cluster panel (10) using 2 screws (101). Align the combo unit (1) and the add-on unit (2) (or cover plate) to the cluster panel (10) and fit the bracket (11 R) onto the audio assembly using 4 screws (103).
- Fit the bracket (12 L) to the cluster panel (10) using 2 screws (102). Align the combo unit (1) and the add-on unit (2) (or cover plate) to the cluster panel (10) and fit the bracket (12 L) onto the audio assembly using 4 screws (104).
3.3 Wide 2DIN Audio Installation
- Fit the bracket (11 R) to the cluster panel (10) using 2 screws (101). Align the Wide 2DIN unit (30) to the cluster panel (10) and fit the bracket (11 R) onto the audio assembly using 4 screws (103).
- Fit the bracket (12 L) to the cluster panel (10) using 2 screws (102). Align the Wide 2DIN unit (30) to the cluster panel (10) and fit the bracket (12 L) onto the audio assembly using 4 screws (104).
- Connect the conversion wire (10) to the Wide 2DIN audio assembly (30) and the vehicle wire harness (9) as shown, before reinstalling the centre cluster panel.
ENSURE THAT ALL REMOVED CONNECTORS ARE PUT BACK CORRECTLY. REFIT THE REMOVED PARTS.
4. CD-Changer Installation
4.1 Installation under the Passenger Seat (Preferred Position)
- Remove the gear box side covers (1 R) and (2 L) using a nylon pry tool. These covers are secured by 3 clips and 4 clips, and 2 nails.
- Remove the side clusters (4 L) and (3 R) using a nylon pry tool. These clusters are secured by 6 clips and 6 clips, and 2 nails.
- Loosen bolt (5) and remove connector (6). (10) is the Centre cluster panel, and (13) is the Harness protection.
- Remove the ashtray (7) and the cover (8). These are secured by 5 clips. Then, remove the centre cluster panel (10), which is secured by 4 bolts (100).
- Remove the side cover (32 L). This is secured by 2 clips.
- Remove the under cover (33). This is secured by 3 clips and 1 screw (105).
- Remove the panel (34) and glove compartment (35). These are secured by 3 clips and 4 clips, and 5 screws (106). Remove the connector (107).
- Remove the front door scuff plate (36 L) and kick panel (37 L) using a nylon pry tool. These are secured by 2 nails and 6 nails, and 1 clip (105).
- Remove the passenger seat (38). This is secured by 2 nails and 2 nails, and 2 nails and 2 nails. (39) are Covers (4x), and (40) are Bolts with washer (4x).
CAUTION: Fasten the bolts (40) with specified torque when reassembling.
- Cut the tape (3) into 10 equal pieces.
- Route the changer wire (4) along the vehicle wire harness (9) and attach it using tape (3) as shown. Tape (3) is used 1x.
- Route the changer wire (4) under the rubber mat (41) as shown. Tape (3) is used 5x.
- Route the changer wire (4) as shown. Move the vehicle wire harness (9) from position 'A' to 'B'. Bundle and attach the excess wire using tape (3) as shown. Tape (3) is used 7x.
- Cut the carpet as shown. (42) is the Cross member, (43) is the Centre console, (44) is the Duct, and (45) is the Hole for the positioning of the passenger seat. Diagrams are provided for Manual Seat and Power Seat configurations.
- Install the side brackets (6) using screws (7). Screws (7) are M5x9 (4x). (10) is the Changer unit.
CAUTION: Loosen the screws (15) before moving them. Tighten the screws (15) after the position has been changed.
- Attach tape (3) to the bracket (8). Tape (3) is 100mm x40mm (2x).
- Install the bracket (8 R) and (9 L) onto the side brackets (6) using screws (7). Screws (7) are M5x9 (4x).
- Attach the changer unit (10) on the floor. Connect the changer wire (4) to the changer unit (10).
- Attach the vehicle wire harness (9) onto the bracket (8) using a wire tie (12). Wire tie (12) is 1x. (10) is the Changer unit.
- Reinstall the passenger seat (38). (10) is the Changer unit.
ATTENTION: In case of the power passenger seat, make sure that the bracket (8) does not interfere when reinstalling the seat.
- Attach the vehicle wire harness (9) (yellow) using tape (3). Tape (3) is 1x. (10) is the Changer unit.
ENSURE THAT ALL REMOVED CONNECTORS ARE PUT BACK CORRECTLY. REFIT THE REMOVED PARTS.
4.2 Installation under the Driver Seat
- Remove the gear box side covers (1 R) and (2 L) using a nylon pry tool. These covers are secured by 3 clips and 4 clips, and 2 nails.
- Remove the side clusters (4 L) and (3 R) using a nylon pry tool. These clusters are secured by 6 clips and 6 clips, and 2 nails.
- Loosen bolt (5) and remove connector (6). (10) is the Centre cluster panel, and (13) is the Harness protection.
- Remove the ashtray (7) and the cover (8). These are secured by 5 clips. Then, remove the centre cluster panel (10), which is secured by 4 bolts (100).
- Open the cover of the box (18). Remove the gear box cover (19) using a nylon pry tool. This cover is secured by 11 clips. Remove the transfer knob (20). Remove the gear lever knob (21) in the 'N' position.
NOTE: The fastener of the hand brake is opened.
- Remove the switch panel (22). This is secured by 5 clips.
- Remove the front door scuff plate (23 R) using a nylon pry tool. This is secured by 6 nails.
- Remove the driver seat (24). This is secured by 2 nails and 2 nails, and 2 nails and 2 nails. (25) are Covers (4x), and (26) are Bolts with washer (4x).
CAUTION: Fasten the bolts (26) with specified torque when reassembling.
- Cut the tape (3) into 10 equal pieces.
- Route the changer wire (4) along the vehicle wire harness (9) and attach it using tape (3) as shown. Tape (3) is used 6x.
- Route the changer wire (4) as shown. Tape (3) is used 4x.
- Route the changer wire (4) as shown. Move the vehicle wire harness (9) from position 'A' to 'B'. Bundle and attach the excess wire using tape (3) as shown. Tape (3) is used 7x.
- Cut the carpet as shown. (28) is the Cross member, (29) is the Centre console, (30) is the Airduct, and (31) is the Hole for the positioning of the driver seat. Diagrams are provided for Manual Seat and Power Seat configurations.
- Install the side brackets (6) using screws (7). Screws (7) are M5x9 (4x).
CAUTION: Loosen the screws (15) before moving them. Tighten the screws (15) after the position has been changed.
- Attach tape (3) to the bracket (8). Tape (3) is 100mm x40mm (2x).
- Install the bracket (8) onto the side brackets (6) using screws (7). Screws (7) are M5x9 (4x). (10) is the Changer unit.
- Attach the changer unit (10) on the floor. Connect the changer wire (4) to the changer unit (10).
- Attach the vehicle wire harness (9) onto the bracket (8) using a wire tie (12). Wire tie (12) is 1x. (10) is the Changer unit.
- Reinstall the driver seat (24). (10) is the Changer unit.
ATTENTION: In case of the power driver seat, make sure that the bracket (8) does not interfere when reinstalling the seat.
- Attach the vehicle wire harness (9) (yellow) using tape (3). Tape (3) is 1x. (10) is the Changer unit.
ENSURE THAT ALL REMOVED CONNECTORS ARE PUT BACK CORRECTLY. REFIT THE REMOVED PARTS.
5. Subwoofer Installation
- Fit the attachment brackets (13) to the subwoofer (14) using screws with washer (15). Screws with washer (15) are 4x. Screws (16) are 4x.
NOTE: The brackets (13) and screws (16) are not included in the subwoofer kit. Please order separately.
- IN CASE OF INSTALLATION UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT: Cut the carpet as shown. (28) is the Cross member, (29) is the Centre console, (30) is the Airduct, and (31) is the Hole for the positioning of the driver seat.
ATTENTION: The standard installation position of the subwoofer is under the driver seat. If it is not feasible, it can be installed under the passenger seat.
- IN CASE OF INSTALLATION UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT: Cut the carpet as shown. (42) is the Cross member, (43) is the Centre console, (44) is the Airduct, and (45) is the Hole for the positioning of the passenger seat.
ATTENTION: The standard installation position of the subwoofer is under the driver seat. If it is not feasible, it can be installed under the passenger seat.
- Cut the tape (3) into 10 equal pieces.
- Fold up the floor carpet (46). Route and attach the subwoofer wire harness (17) using tape (3). Tape (3) is 10x. (9) is the Vehicle wire harness.
- Connect the subwoofer wire harness (17) to the 10P audio connector (18) of the vehicle wire harness (9). (47) is the Audio assembly.
- Before installing the subwoofer (14), adjust the sensitivity to the correct position.
- Replace the floor carpet. Attach the tape (21) to the bracket (8). Tape (21) is 2x. Fit the bracket (8) onto the attachment brackets (13). Screws (23) are M5x9 (4x).
NOTE: The bracket (8), the screws (23) and the tapes (21) are not included in the subwoofer kit. Please order separately.
NOTE: Please make sure that the subwoofer and the seat does not interfere when reinstalling the seat.
- Attach the subwoofer (14) on the floor. Connect the subwoofer wire (17) to the subwoofer (14). Attach the vehicle wire harness (9) to the bracket (8) using a wire tie (24). Wire tie (24) is 1x.
NOTE: The wire tie (24) is not included in the subwoofer kit. Please order separately.
ENSURE THAT ALL REMOVED CONNECTORS ARE PUT BACK CORRECTLY. REFIT THE REMOVED PARTS.
