Main Power Connection
Caution!
- Do not connect fixture to a dimmer system.
- This unit is to be connected to a 24V DC Output Power Supply.
- Power supply must be earthed (electronically grounded).
- Replace fuse only with the specified type and rating.
- Power Supply must not be lower than 294W output.
This fixture requires a 294 Watt or greater 24V power supply (sold separately). Fixture requires a Minimum 14 Gage stranded wire from the power supply to the Deco Driver CV3 24V DC Input. Longer distances will require higher cable gage. Secondary input and outputs can be used to jump voltage to a secondary device.
24V DC INPUT Diagram Description: A terminal block with '+' and '-' connections. A table indicates cable gage requirements: Min 14AWG for Black (DC-) and Red (DC+).
DMX-512 Connection
The fixture is equipped with RJ45 and 3 Pole Screw Terminal for DMX signal input and output, wired in parallel. Use a shielded twisted pair cable designed for RS-485 and Cat 6. RJ45 plugs and connectors are needed for connecting controllers or other fixtures.
DMX Connections Diagram Description: Shows DMX input and output terminals labeled 'G', '+', 'IN', 'DMX', 'OUT'. Includes XLR connection pinout details (Pin 1 Ground, Pin 2 Data-, Pin 3 Data+ for input; Pin 1 Data+, Pin 2 Data-, Pin 3 Data+ for output) and an RJ45 modular connector diagram.
Caution! At the last fixture, the DMX signal needs to be terminated with a 120 Ohm resistor between the (-) and (+) signal of the plug. Pre-manufactured terminator plugs (P-DMXT) are available from MEGA-LITE dealers.
12V Bypass Sensor
The Bypass Sensor is used for connecting a 12V DC sensor (e.g., Motion Sensors, Dusk to Dawn Sensors). If a 12V DC Signal is detected, all dimmer channels will turn on to 100%.
12V Bypass Sensor Diagram Description: Shows a connection with '+' and '-' terminals.
Output Connection
The fixture is equipped with RJ45 and 5 Pole Screw Terminal for output to lights. Different Deco Lighting Fixtures use either Cat6A or 5 Conductor stranded cable. Consult the specific lighting fixture manual for cable requirements.
Cable Requirements: Cat6A: 23 gage or higher, max distance before voltage drop 100ft. Stranded: 5 conductor 20AWG or higher, max distance before voltage drop 100ft.

Rigging the Fixture
When rigging a unit, follow common safety procedures. Rigging requires extensive experience including calculating working loads, material used, and periodic safety inspections. If unqualified, do not attempt installation. The installation location must support 10 times the weight for one hour without damage. Installation should be checked annually by a skilled person.
The fixture is designed for installation with a 35mm Din rail track inside a Nema box.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Installation Maintenance: The operator must ensure the unit is operating safely and that installations and electronics are checked by an expert every 2 years.
Inspection Points:
- All screws used for installing the device must be tightly connected and not corroded.
- There must not be any deformations on the housing, fixation, or installation spots (ceiling, suspension, trussing).
- Electronic power supply cables must not show damages, material fatigue, or sediments. Further instructions depend on installation spot and usage; a skilled installer should address safety problems.
Note: There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations must be carried out by authorized dealers.
Replacing the fuse: Replace only with the same type and rating.
Replacing the power cable: If damaged, it must be replaced by authorized dealers or trained professionals only.
