Pedestal Chrome 2 Fig. 0883 Searchlight Deck Control Solar-Ray® Searchlight Installation Instructions ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place Head Assembly on flat area with lens down. 2. Insert electric wire through searchlight base and tighten gland nut. 3. Select proper base mounting template for either 7" or 8" base. Drill holes in deck, per template. 4. Place searchlight assembly onto mounting surface in proper position, and thru-bolt with 5/16 inch machine screws (not supplied). 5. Wiring must be according to applicable standards and performed by a qualified marine electrician. 6. Yoke knob locks the vertical positioning and base knob locks the horizontal rotation. Peak candlepower is exceedingly sensitive to many factors, (i.e., a light source out of focus by 1/32 inch, under-voltage of only 4%, or differences between bulb manufacturers) which can cause a variation in range of up to 20%.
