The ballast installation

  1. Hang reflector in the chosen location. Find a suitable place for the ballast. The unit must not be mounted on a flammable surface but preferably placed on a shelf or wall-mounted. It should NOT be placed on the floor where it can be affected by water.
  2. Make sure that the lamp's wattage matches the ballast wattage. Screw the lamp into the reflector tightly. Wipe the lamp with a soft cloth after handling it.
  3. Plug reflector into the ballast. Make sure that the IEC plug is firmly located in the female socket. Plug ballast into a mains outlet and switch on at mains.

? ATTENTION: If the unit (ballast and reflector) fails to operate - LAMP NOT STRIKING - please follow this procedure:

  1. Turn off the ballast at the mains and remove the plug from the wall socket.
  2. Check that the wall socket is working by plugging in a known working device.
  3. Check that lamp is screwed in tightly. Plugin and try again.
  4. If it still fails to ignite, unplug the unit again and replace the lamp with a new one - preferably from a different manufacturer and switch on the ballast.

If the unit still fails to operate, return it to your retailer for a replacement.

When routing the ballast' power cord, ensure that:
