Notes on the Cable

Use the provided short power cord (or detachable power cord) to reduce the risk of entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. Do not use an extension cord with this product.

Plasticizer Warning

CAUTION: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of countertops, tables, or other furniture, place coasters or non-plastic placemats between the appliance and the surface. Failure to do so may cause the finish to darken, become permanently stained, or show marks.

Electrical Power

If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not function correctly. It should be used on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.

Before First Use

  1. Carefully unpack the blender set and remove all packaging material. Check the contents to ensure all parts and accessories are present and in good condition.
  2. Handle the blending and grinding blades only by the collar.
  3. The product will remain in standby mode when not in use. Energy consumption in standby mode is less than 0.5W.
  4. WARNING: Do not touch the blades. The blade assemblies are very sharp. Exercise extreme caution when handling them. Failure to do so may cause personal injury.
  5. Wash all lids with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely.
  6. Clean each jar before first use. Fill one-quarter of the jar with clean, warm water. Following the operating instructions, pulse several times using the blending blade first, then the grinding blade. Rinse completely.
  7. The motor base can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
  8. WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR BASE IN WATER.

Operating Instructions

  1. Place the motor base on a flat, clean, and dry surface, such as a countertop or table.
  2. Ensure the appliance is unplugged.
  3. The blender comes with 2 sizes of processing jars. Place the food to be processed in the desired jar: tall jar for blending or small jar for grinding.
  4. To assemble for blending, chopping, or mixing, hold by the blade collar and place the blending blade (cross-shaped) into the tall jar.
  5. To assemble for grinding or beating egg whites, hold by the blade collar and place the grinding blade (flat) into the small jar.
  6. IMPORTANT: Ensure the jar ring is not attached to the blending jar before assembling the blade. If it is, remove it by lifting. On the base of each blade collar, there is a rubber gasket that ensures a tight seal with the blender jars. After washing and before each use, always check that the gasket is correctly positioned, as the heat from some dishwashers can loosen it.
  7. WARNING: Never operate the blender when the processing jar is empty. Never fill the processing jar above the MAX line.
  8. Hold the jar (tall or small) firmly with one hand. With the other hand, tighten the jar/blade assembly by turning the blade collar clockwise until it is snug.
  9. Connect the power cord to a 230V AC power outlet.
  10. Invert the jar/blade assembly. Insert the blade collar into the motor base, aligning the tabs with the slots in the base. NOTE: The blender will not operate unless the 3 locking tabs on the blade collar are correctly engaged in the 3 slots of the motor base.
  11. To process, turn the jar (tall or small) clockwise on the motor base and press down on the top of the jar. The blender will operate as long as pressure is maintained.
  12. To pulse, press and release the jar in short bursts. The motor will stop when pressure is released. Check the result and continue pulsing if necessary until the desired consistency is reached.
  13. WARNING: Do not operate the motor continuously for more than 3 minutes at a time. Allow the motor to rest for 3 minutes before continuing.
  14. The appliance should not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or without experience and knowledge, unless they receive supervision or instruction.
  15. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  16. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorized service agent, or equally qualified persons to avoid hazards. After processing is complete, turn the jar counter-clockwise to remove it from the base and lift it.
  17. Invert the jar/blade assembly. Hold the jar (tall or small) with one hand and with the other, turn the blade collar counter-clockwise to remove it.
  18. Attach the jar ring to immediately enjoy fresh juices, smoothies, or blended drinks. Press to fit the ring onto either of the jars for blending.
  19. Unplug the blender when not in use and before cleaning.

Food Processing Tips

WARNING: Do not operate the motor continuously for more than 3 minutes at a time. Allow the motor to rest for 20 minutes before continuing.

Never overfill the processing jar. The maximum capacity of the tall jar for blending is 48 oz / 1500 ml. The maximum capacity of the small jar for grinding is 6 oz / 175 ml.

For best results, solid foods should not be larger than 2.5 cm (1 inch). Cut or tear food into similarly sized pieces before processing.

User Maintenance Instructions

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any repair requiring disassembly, other than cleaning, must be performed by a technician qualified in appliance repair.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

CAUTION: Never immerse the motor base, plug, or cord in water or any other liquid.

  1. Always unplug the blender before cleaning.
  2. Whenever possible, rinse parts immediately after processing to facilitate cleaning.
  3. Always handle blades using the blade collar. CAUTION: Exercise extreme caution when handling blades. Do not touch them with your fingers. The blades are very sharp and can cause injury.
  4. If necessary, use a small nylon bristle brush to remove food residue from the blade and blade area.
  5. For a quick clean, fill the jar (for blending or grinding) one-quarter full with clean warm water. Following the operating instructions, pulse several times using the blending blade first, then the grinding blade. Rinse thoroughly.
  6. Remove the jar rings after use for cleaning. Wash all lids and rings with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely. CAUTION: Never use rough sponges or abrasive cleaners on plastic or metal parts, as they may damage the surface.
  7. The blades, jars, and lids are dishwasher safe on the top rack. IMPORTANT: After washing in the dishwasher, always check that the sealing gasket on the base of the blade collar is correctly positioned, as the heat from some dishwashers can loosen it.
  8. The motor base can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. WARNING: Do not immerse the motor base in water.

Storage Instructions

  1. Unplug and clean the appliance.
  2. Store in the original packaging or in a clean, dry place.
  3. Never store the blender while it is hot or plugged in.
  4. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put pressure on the cord, especially where it enters the unit, as it may wear out or break.
