DocumentDocumentGigabit 4PPoE Extender, 90W, 4 ports Manual DN-95128-1 Product introduction The DIGITUS® Gigabit 4PPoE Extender supports the latest networking technology to extend your Ethernet signal to up to 100 metres. The extender is powered by 4PPoE (4-Pair Power over Ethernet or lower), so you do not need an additional power adaptor and can use the device, even where there are no power cables or sockets, to significantly increase the network range. With the PoE+ and 4PPoE support, you can also connect devices with higher power consumption, such as access points, POS systems or video telephones. Choose future-orientated 4PPoE technology with the Gigabit 4PPoE Extender from DIGITUS®. Front panel The front panel consists of LED indications and network ports. PoE Ports: · PoE IN: Meets the following standards: IEEE802.3af (PoE), IEEE802.3at (PoE+), IEEE802.3at (4PPoE) · PoE OUT: Meets the following standards: IEEE802.3af (PoE), IEEE802.3at (PoE+) LED Lamp: · Link/Act indicator: the light indicates the network connection through the corresponding port. Flicker indicates that the extender is sending or receiving data · SPD indicator: when it lights, it indicates the link through that port is successfully established at 1000Mbps. Otherwise, it will be off but still functioning. · PoE indicator: constant brightness indicates that the PD device is connected to the corresponding port, and extinguished indicates that the port is not powered or no PD device is found. 1 Real panel: Hardware installation This chapter provides unpacking and installation information for the unmanaged PoE Extender. First step: open a seal Open the shipping carton and carefully unpack its contents. Please consult the packing list located in the User Manual to make sure all items are present and undamaged. If any item is missing or damaged, please contact the local reseller for replacement. · PoE extender 1pcs · User manual 1pcs Second step: installation For safe installation and operation, it is recommended that you: · Make sure that there is proper heat dissipation and adequate ventilation around the device. · Do not place heavy objects on the device. Desktop or Shelf Installation When installing the extender on a desktop or shelf, the rubber feet included with the device must be attached on the bottom at each corner of the device's base.
