This document provides a quick reference for setting up and operating your Epson Home Projector.
Unpacking
Contents typically include the projector, remote controls, power cable, and other accessories. The EH-LS12000B model may include an additional component.
Projection Position
The projector can be positioned for optimal viewing. For example, a 50-inch screen may require a projection distance of 1.5 meters, while a 150-inch screen may require 4.5 meters.
Turning On/Off the Projector
Turning On
- Connect the power supply cable to the projector.
- Press the [Power Button] on the projector. A warning symbol ⚠️ may appear if there is a power issue.
Turning Off
Press the [Power Button] twice to turn off the projector.
Initial Setting
Upon the first power-on, a setup wizard guides you through initial configurations. Use the [Arrow Buttons] and the [Enter] button on the control panel or remote control to adjust focus, projection direction, and language settings. This guide is available in multiple languages.
Adjusting
Focusing
- Use the control buttons.
- Adjust until the image is sharp.
- Repeat adjustment as needed.
Zooming
- Use the control buttons.
- Adjust the zoom level for the desired image size.
- Repeat adjustment as needed.
Adjusting Lens Shift
- Use the control buttons.
- Adjust the lens shift to move the projected image position on the screen without moving the projector.
- Repeat adjustment as needed.
Connecting Devices
The projector features various ports for connecting external devices:
- USB-A (5V-2.0A): For power supply or data.
- Trigger Out: For compatible trigger function devices.
- Opt.HDMI (300mA): Optional HDMI connection.
- HDMI 1: Standard HDMI input.
- HDMI 2 (eARC/ARC): HDMI input with enhanced audio return channel capabilities.
- RS-232C: For control and communication.
- Trigger In: For receiving trigger signals.
- LAN: For network connectivity.
- HDMI Out: HDMI output for passing through video signals.
Devices that can be connected include streaming media players, video devices, AV systems, network devices, and trigger function compatible devices.
Connecting Devices Example 1
Connect the projector to a video device and a streaming media player using [HDMI Cable]s. Audio can be output to speakers via a [Speaker Cable] from the projector's audio output.
Connecting Devices Example 2
Connect the projector to a video device and a game device using [HDMI Cable]s. For advanced audio setups, connect the projector's HDMI 2 (eARC/ARC) port to an eARC/ARC compatible soundbar using an [Ethernet HDMI Cable].
Attaching the Cable Cover (EH-LS12000B only)
Follow the provided diagrams to attach the cable cover to the projector for a tidy setup.
