Important Safety and Legal Information
General Compliance: National guidelines concerning the approval of mounted accessories must be observed.
Prohibited Modifications: Any alterations or modifications to the tow bar system are forbidden and will void the operating license/type approval.
Preparation: Remove any insulation material or underbody protection from the vehicle's contact surfaces where the tow bar will be mounted.
Intended Use: The tow bar is designed for towing trailers and for use with load carriers. Any other use is prohibited.
Parking Aid Interference: Vehicles equipped with parking assistance systems may experience malfunctions after tow bar installation if parts (e.g., the ball neck or coupling ball) are within the sensor's detection range. In such cases, the sensor range must be adjusted, or the parking assistance system deactivated. For tow bars with removable or pivoting ball necks, malfunctions are unlikely if the ball neck is not in the operating position.
Safety Component: The tow bar is a safety-critical component and must only be installed by qualified professionals. Incorrect installation can lead to a serious accident hazard.
