SDK Contents

The SDK includes the following items:

A textual description of the included items is as follows: A U-Guide, a USB cable, and a PalmSecure-F Pro+ sensor are provided. A license agreement sheet for the SDK and a separate sheet for the Professional Edition license are also included.

The SDK Support Website provides downloading of up-to-date software and manuals, information about Frequently Asked Questions, and a form for inquiries. Recent updates include enhancements to the Authentication library and other software (December 2017), updates to Frequently Asked Questions (December 2017), and updates to the SDK V02 Sensor driver for extended function (Windows version) (September 2017), and enhancements to SDK V02 Manuals (September 2017).

Details on the Sensor Driver include installers for Windows (x86 and x64) and source code for Linux. The Sample Application for Microsoft .NET Framework (VB.NET) is also available.

Development Requirements (Windows and Linux)

Hardware (HW)

• CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.40GHz or above. NOTE: requires SSE3/SSSE3. CPU with SSE4.2/AES-NI implemented is recommended.
• Memory: x64 = 4GB or above, x86 = 2GB or above.
• USB interface: USB2.0 or USB3.0 (USB 3.0 is required for high-power mode).
• HDD space: 222MB or above.

Software (SW)

• Windows® (client): Windows 11 Version 24H2 (x64), Windows 10 Version 22H2 (x86 and x64).
• Linux: Linux kernel 3.10.0 or later, and glibc 2.17 or later. Supports RockyLinux 9.5 (x64) and RockyLinux 8.10 (x64). Note: udev (a device manager for the Linux kernel) is required.

Development languages:

C/C++ (recommended), Java, VB.NET(*), C#(*) and Qt. *: .NET Framework 4.8/4.8.1 or .NET 8 is required.

Development Requirements (Linux armhf, Linux arm64 and Android (Armv8-A))

Hardware (HW)

• CPU architecture: <32-bit version> Armv7-A, <64-bit version> Armv8-A.
• Required CPU option: NEON, VFP (CRYPTO is recommended for 64-bit version).
• Tested CPU: <Armv7-A> Cortex-A15, <Armv8-A> Cortex-A53, Cortex-A57, Cortex-A72.
• Memory: Linux: 1GB or more, Android: 3 GB or more.
• USB interface: USB2.0 or USB3.0 (USB 3.0 is required for high-power mode). Note: Host function must be enabled.

Software (SW)

• OS (Linux): kernel 3.10.0 or later, and glibc 2.17 or later (needs to be Little Endian). Supports Linux-armhf and Linux-arm64. Note: udev (device management tool for Linux) is required.
• OS(Android): Android 14 (Android NDK LTS r27 is required). Note: If you upgrade the version of Android-OS, it may become inoperable due to changes in the OS specifications. Before upgrading the operating system version, please verify beforehand or consider fixing the OS version.

Development languages:

Linux: C/C++ (recommended), Java, Qt. Android: Kotlin.

Development Requirements for Server (Windows and Linux)

Hardware (HW)

• CPU: 4th generation Intel® Core™ Processor (Haswell) or above (Need to comply with the OS requirements as well). Note: requires AVX2/FMA/AES-NI. 2nd generation Xeon® Processor or above is recommended.
• Memory: 4GB or above (Need to comply with the OS requirements as well). Note: Memory space of 16KB x number of enrolled template is required for identification.
• HDD space: 261MB or above.

Software (SW)

• Windows® (server): Windows Server 2025 (x64), Windows Server 2022 (x64), Windows Server 2019 (x64), Windows Server 2016 (x64). Note: Millions Edition requires Windows Server 2022 or above.
• Linux: Linux(x64) (kernel: 4.18 or later, and glibc: 2.28 or later). Supports RockyLinux 9.4 (x64) and RockyLinux 8.10 (x64). Note: Millions Edition requires GCC OpenMP shared support library(libgomp) V4.0 or above.

Development languages:

C/C++ (recommended), and C#.
