Enable Developer Options · From Home screen, · Click on System Settings -> System -> About Device · Click on Build number for 7 times · Wait until "You are a developer" notification appears. · Go Back to System. · Developer Options should be visible now · Open Developer Options: · Scroll to Debugging section and enable "USB debugging" · Click on "OK" in the dialog that appears. 2. Install ADB on MAC/PC 3. Download launcher app of your choice from apkmirror. a. Example Niagara launcher - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/peter-huber/niagaralauncher-%f0%9f%94%b9-fresh-clean/ Make a note of the path where the file is saved ( <path_to_launcher> ) 4. Connect the DAP to the PC/MAC 5. Open terminal/command prompt 6. Navigate to the folder where adb is extracted. 7. Verify if PC/MAC recognizes the DAP via ADB. Type the below command: adb devices Output should be like: List of devices attached <some id> device 8. Install an alternate launcher downloaded in step 3.a adb install <path_to_launcher>.apk 9. Disable the default launcher app (unfortunately this will also disable the default music player) adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.cayin.player.launcher Output should be: Package com.cayin.player.launcher new state: disabled-user 10. Open the launcher settings and follow the prompts for permissions, default launcher etc., 11. Download a music player of your choice hiby music/ fiio music or Neutron Player and install it via adb like above. Neutron player link - https://neutroncode.com/downloads adb install <path_to_player>.apk 12. Access Hidden settings like wifi and Bluetooth. Download and install Shortcut maker apk. Open Shortcut maker app b. Click on Settings -> Network & Internet c. Click on Try this shortcut d. Wifi toggle should be available now. Turn on the toggle and connect to your wifi network. If wifi network is not visible, try using a hotspot from mobile. e. Go back and click on "Create Shortcut" and add it to home screen if your launcher supports. Or add to favourites to access it later. f. Similarly, you can access Bluetooth settings from Shortcut Maker app. N3U supports both BT receiving & sending. 14. Now that wifi is enabled, you can download and install any music streaming app like spotify/apple music and start streaming. a. If you have installed Neutron player, it will be in trail mode. Before upgrading the firmware, enable the default music player/ launcher app by executing the below command adb shell pm enable com.cayin.player.launcher Once the firmware is updated successfully, just disable the default launcher (step 9)
