Getting Started
Before using the seca 877 scale, please follow these initial preparation steps:
Weighing: The scale is designed for weighing and features a maximum capacity of 200 kg.
Operation:
- a) Place the scale on a level surface.
- b) Press the ON button. The display will show '0.0'.
- c) Step onto the scale. The weight will be displayed.
- HOLD function: Press the HOLD button to freeze the displayed weight. A triangle with an exclamation mark ? indicates a non-calibratable additional function for the frozen display.
- d) After use, the scale will automatically switch off after approximately 20 seconds.

Declaration of Conformity
The seca 877 non-automatic personal scale is EC type-approved (D07-09-032) and corresponds to the model described in the type-approval certificate. The scale meets the applicable requirements of the following directives:
- Directive 2009/23/EC on non-automatic weighing instruments.
- Directive 93/42/EEC on medical devices.
- European standard DIN EN 45501.

Warranty Information
A two-year warranty from the date of delivery applies to defects attributable to poor materials or workmanship. The warranty excludes all movable parts such as batteries, cables, mains units, and rechargeable batteries.
Warranty Claims:
- Defects covered by warranty will be repaired free of charge upon presentation of the purchase receipt.
- No further claims will be entertained.
- Transport costs (both ways) are the customer's responsibility if the equipment is located elsewhere than the customer's premises.
- In case of transport damage, warranty claims are honored only if the complete original packaging was used and the scale was secured and attached as originally packed. Retain all packaging materials.
- Warranty is void if the equipment is opened by unauthorized persons.
- Customers abroad should contact their local sales agent for warranty matters.
