InfiRay AFFO Series Quick Start Guide

This guide provides essential information for the InfiRay AFFO Series Thermal Imaging Monocular.

The package includes the AFFO Series monocular, various cables, a power adapter, a neck strap, a drawstring bag, and a lens cleaning cloth.

Components and Controls

The monocular features the following components:

Getting Started

  1. Open the lens cover (9).
  2. Power on: Press and hold the Power (6) button for 2 seconds.
  3. The device enters working status when an infrared image is displayed.
  4. Rotate the diopter adjustment knob (2) to adjust the display icon resolution. This knob is for adjusting the eyepiece diopter for users with different degrees of myopia.
  5. Setting the image mode: Briefly press the Up (5) button to select from five image palette modes: white hot (?), black hot (⚫), red hot (?), pseudo color (?), and target highlight (?). The icon on the top status bar updates in real-time.
  6. Setting the display brightness: In the main menu, select the display brightness option to set the level from 1 to 5.
  7. Digital Zoom: On the home screen, briefly press the M (4) button.
  8. Photography: On the home screen, short press the Down (3) button to take a photo.
  9. Video Recording: On the home screen, press and hold the Down (3) button to start video recording.
  10. Power off: Press and hold the Power (6) button for 3 seconds to initiate the power-off sequence. Release the button when the countdown icon reaches 0. Do not disconnect power during data saving.
  11. Standby: Briefly press the Power (6) button on the home screen to put the device in standby mode. Press it again to wake it up.

Charging

The AFFO series is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery, offering up to 9.5 hours of operation. Fully charge the device before first use.

Body-worn Operation

This device was tested for typical body-support operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 0.5cm must be maintained between the user's body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar accessories used with this device should not contain any metallic components. Body accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
