Application
Combined water supply units integrate a controllable backflow preventer, self-flushing strainer, pressure reducing valve, and shut-off valve into a single unit. They ensure a continuous supply of filtered water. The strainer prevents the ingress of foreign particles such as rust particles, hemp threads, and sand grains, thereby reducing the possibility of corrosion. The backflow preventer protects drinking water from backflow of hazardous liquids. The pressure reducing valve prevents pressure surges in the water installation and reduces water consumption. All individual units comply with the requirements of the current DIN/DVGW specifications. The technical properties of each unit also apply to the complete unit.

Function Description
The combined water supply unit integrates a controllable backflow preventer, self-flushing strainer, pressure reducing valve, and shut-off valve into a single unit. Water first flows through the backflow preventer. This causes the valve spindle to push against the spring force, opening the valve. The self-flushing strainer retains any dirt particles in the water. These particles are then completely flushed out during reverse flushing. Filters with double spin technology have turbine blades that circulate the water, causing the rotor in the upper filter to rotate. The internal rotor wheel flushes away particles adhering to the upper filter at the cutting points with the rotor. The integrated pressure reducing valve operates on a balanced force principle, where the force exerted by a diaphragm is balanced against the force of an adjustment spring. Inlet pressure has no influence on the valve's opening or closing. Pressure fluctuations at the inlet therefore do not affect the outlet pressure.

Installation Instructions
Requirements for Installation
- Mount in a horizontal pipe run with the bottom facing downwards. This position ensures optimal filter efficiency.
- Install a shut-off valve at the inlet.
- These filters are fittings that require regular maintenance.
- Ensure easy accessibility.
- The pressure gauge can be read easily.
- The degree of contamination can be easily seen in the clear filter bowl.
- Simplifies maintenance and inspection.
- According to EN 806-2, it is recommended to install the strainer immediately after the water meter.
- To prevent flooding, it is recommended to establish a permanent, correctly dimensioned drain connection.
