Enduro Power Lithium Batteries
48V Eagle Series - Basic Wiring Instructions for Golf Carts
How to install your new Enduro Power 48V 60/90/120Ah battery kit.
Note: There are On/Off buttons on top of each battery. Leave these off until installation is complete. No power is reaching the terminals until turned on in Step #6.
- Physically Install Batteries - Place the batteries into the cart either in the middle position or the best position so that your battery brackets are able to hold the batteries in place. Ensure the batteries are relatively close to each other (for cable length). If your cart requires an additional battery case for the battery bracket to function properly, Enduro Power offers empty cases.
- Parallel Connection - Connect two of your existing battery cables in PARALLEL. Connect POSITIVE to POSITIVE and NEGATIVE to NEGATIVE. Enduro Power offers battery cable kits if you are missing cables or wish to install new cables for your battery bank.
- Connect Charger, Load Cables from Cart & Power Leads from Fuel Gauge (Motor) - Find a suitable location to mount the charger into the cart frame, where the old batteries were located. Connect the positive wires from the cart, charger, and fuel gauge to Battery #1 Positive. Connect the negative wires from the cart, charger, and fuel gauge to Battery #2 Negative.
- Battery Communication Cables - Install communication cables between the batteries. Any open port on the battery is suitable.
- Install Fuel Gauge Communication Cables - Install the communication cable from the Fuel Gauge to the battery bank. On the last battery, install the terminator plug (stubby terminator) on the remaining open communication port.
- Turn On Batteries - Depress the On/Off buttons on top of both batteries to activate power to the terminals. The cart is now powered. The Fuel Gauge will indicate the status of the battery bank. It is recommended to provide a full charge to the battery bank prior to the first test drive. This will take approximately 3-4 hours for a 60Ah kit (4-5 hours for a 90Ah Kit, 5-6 hours for a 120Ah kit).
- Mounting Fuel Gauge - The Fuel Gauge can be mounted to the cart's dash using the provided template, if desired.
