Engine: 3.2L 16-VALVE DOHC COMMON RAIL DI-DC
The 3.2-litre DI-DC (Direct Injection Diesel) engine provides superior torque, especially at low and mid rev ranges. The Common Rail injection system electronically controls fuel intake to deliver precisely the right amount to each cylinder, while the direct injection system enables far more efficient combustion for better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
Suspension
Independent Suspension: Pajero's rally-proven all-wheel independent suspension provides drivers confident, predictable handling in even the most unpredictable conditions. The independent front wishbone-type suspension and rear multi-link double wishbone independent suspension provide quick and natural responses, especially when cornering.
Suspension Travel: The independent suspension, coil springs and monocoque body all work together to provide a greater degree of suspension travel. The result is impressive road-handling and greater stability even over the roughest off-road conditions.
SUPER SELECT 4WD-II WITH REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCK /
Mitsubishi's rally-proven Super Select 4WD-II lets you move from smooth 2H mode highway performance to rugged 4H mode traction without breaking stride. With shift-on-the-fly convenience at up to 100km/h, the right driving mode is always at your fingertips.
4WD Modes:
- 2H (2WD HIGH RANGE): 2H mode shifts you into rear wheel drive for smooth, quiet, fuel-efficient performance.
- 4H (4WD HIGH RANGE): Switch to 4H mode for added traction. The dynamic 33:67 front/rear torque split gives you greater control for high-speed driving.
- 4HLC (4WD HIGH RANGE WITH CENTRE DIFFERENTIAL LOCKED): Keeping you on track even in rugged or slippery conditions, the 4HLc mode distributes power equally to all 4 wheels for off-road excitement with a 50:50 split for a steady sense of control.
- 4LLC (4WD LOW RANGE WITH CENTRE DIFFERENTIAL LOCKED)*: Switch to 4LLc when you need all the tractor-like crawling power you can get. Maximised low-end torque pulls you through even the roughest terrain. (*Note: Vehicle has to be stationary to engage in this mode.)

COMFORTABLE AND VERSATILE /
Seating Configurations
- With the 3rd row stowed, the 1st and 2nd row can be laid flat, creating a comfortable sleeping area. (*LWB models only.)
- The 2nd row has a 60:40 split, allowing you to carry extra-long cargo while still seating four passengers comfortably.
- Fold up the 2nd row to make full use of the Pajero's massive carrying capacity.
2ND-ROW CONFIGURATION
To provide as much carrying space as possible, the 2nd row can have the seatbacks folded down, and then the seats themselves can be folded up and out of the way. You can also fold down just one part of the 60:40-split 2nd row, for carrying extra-long cargo.
3RD-ROW CONFIGURATION
The 3rd row seats can be easily folded up and stowed away in Pajero's underfloor compartment, then folded out again when you need the extra seating capacity. This gives you plenty of room for groceries, suitcases or bulky cargo.
