This also supports mics that use plug-in power. PLUG-IN POWER ON/OFF switch Turn this ON when connecting a mic that requires plugin power to the MIC/LINE jack. Connection example Dynamic mic Keyboard When connecting condenser mics and other devices that require phantom power, use an external power supply. Type-C Left side Top Right side Dedicated AC adapter (ZOOM AD-17) Do not supply phantom power to devices that are not compatible with it. Doing so could damage the device. Back INPUT A/B jacks When connecting mic-level devices, use the XLR plugs. When connecting line-level devices, use the TRS plugs. When disconnecting an XLR plug, pull it while pushing the lock release button. INPUT A and B buttons and status indicators Press an INPUT A/B button, lighting its status indicator, to enable that input jack. (Phantom power will be supplied if power is connected to the USB port.) See the recorder operation manual for details. PHANTOM POWER indicator This will light when power is connected to the USB port and phantom power can be supplied. USB port (Type-C) By connecting a portable battery or AC adapter here, phantom power can be supplied from the INPUT A and B XLR jacks.
