Key Functions
The Vortex CMG101 tablet features several key functions accessible through its buttons and cameras.
- 1 Volume button: Adjusts the ringer, call, and multimedia volume.
- 2 Power button: Used to power on/off the device and lock the screen. A long press powers on the device. To access the power off menu while the phone is powered on, press the power button and volume + simultaneously.
- 3 Front camera: A high-resolution front camera for taking pictures and videos, ideal for self-portraits.
- 4 Back: Returns to the previous screen, closes the keyboard, an open program, or a menu option.
- 5 Home: Pauses any current action and returns to the home screen.
- 6 Recent Apps: Opens a list of recently opened applications for convenient switching. Applications can also be closed by swiping to the side.
- 7 Flash: Provides light for pictures in low-light conditions.
- 8 Rear camera: A high-resolution rear camera for taking pictures and videos.
Ports and Features
- USB Port: Charges the device and transfers data (documents, music, video) between the device and a PC.
- Headset Port: Connect earphones for hands-free capabilities and listening to music or FM radio.
Insert/Remove SIM & SD Card
Warning: Keep SIM cards out of reach of children. SIM cards and their contacts are easily damaged by scratching or bending. Exercise caution when handling, installing, or removing SIM cards.
To insert SIM card(s): Eject the SIM/SD card holder using the SIM removal tool.
Configuration
Upon initial power-on, the tablet guides you through setup steps.
- Select language: On the Welcome screen, scroll to select your language. Vision Settings (magnification, font, display size) can also be adjusted here.
- Select Wi-Fi: Connect to the internet by selecting a Wi-Fi network. Unsecured networks can be connected without credentials, while secured networks require a password. Connecting to Wi-Fi is recommended for software updates before startup to avoid data overages.
- Copy apps & data: Transfer applications, pictures, music, and more from a previous device, or set up as new.
- Add your account: Sign in with your Google account for streamlined access to Google services like Google Play, Google Drive, Google+, and Google Pay. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one. Security verification may be required if the device is not recognized.
- Google services: Add or remove Google services such as Backup and Restore, Location Service, Install Updates, and Apps.
- Finalize setup: Set up Google Assistant and Google Pay, add another email address, control lock screen information visibility, and review additional apps. This step can be skipped and completed later.

Approved firmware versions
The device operates only with firmware approved by the wireless carrier and manufacturer. Unauthorized firmware will prevent the device from functioning.

Safety

- Do not allow the device or accessories to come into contact with or submerge in liquid or moisture.
- Do not place objects on the device. Avoid direct sunlight and hot areas, as high temperatures can reduce the device's life expectancy.
- Children should be supervised and taught to use the device appropriately.
- Clean the device with an antistatic cloth. Avoid chemical or abrasive cleansers to prevent casing damage.
- Use the device within the following environmental ranges: Temperature: 0°C ~ +45°C, Storage temperature: -20°C ~ +60°C, Humidity: 35% ~75%.
- Do not place the device near items affected by magnetic fields, such as credit cards or disk drives.
- Do not paint the device.
- Do not drop, throw, or subject the device to physical trauma.
- Recycle packaging after installation.
- Consult facility guidelines for use on hospital grounds.
Road Safety
- Do not use the device or other mobile devices while operating a vehicle.
- Do not store or carry flammable or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device.
- Ensure objects are not placed in airbag deployment areas, as airbags deploy with extreme force and can cause serious injury if improperly installed items are present.
Third Party Equipment
Using third-party equipment, cables, or accessories not authorized by Xwireless LLC may invalidate the warranty and adversely affect device performance and stability.
Efficient Use
For optimal performance and minimum power consumption, do not cover the device. Covering may cause it to operate at higher power levels than recommended.

Battery Safety

- Supervise children's battery usage.
- If the device or battery is dropped and damage is suspected, take it to a service center for inspection.
- Improper battery use may result in fire, explosion, or other hazards.
