How it works
Two internal bypass ports enable the compressor to run at approximately 65% part-load capacity during times when only partial heating or cooling is needed. When demand increases, the modulation ring is activated, sealing the bypass ports and instantly shifting capacity to 100%.
Diagram showing the compressor in 'Part Load Operation' with bypass ports open, allowing for reduced capacity.
Diagram showing the compressor in 'Full Load Operation' with bypass ports closed by a modulation ring, enabling full capacity.

Visualizations
Temperature Control
A line graph illustrating temperature control. The 'Two-stage compressor' line shows minimal fluctuation, indicating stable temperature. The 'Fixed speed compressor' line shows larger temperature swings over time.
Humidity Control
Two circular graphs depicting relative humidity control. The 'Two-stage compressor' graph shows a tighter range (e.g., 50% to 30% relative humidity) with smoother curves, indicating superior humidity management. The 'Fixed speed compressor' graph shows more pronounced oscillations within a similar range.
