Intelbras SDC 5850 Series Data Center Switches

Product Overview

The Intelbras SDC 5850 series represents a high-density intelligent switch solution engineered for data centers and cloud computing environments. These switches offer robust hardware forwarding capabilities and a comprehensive suite of data center features. With support for up to 32x100G ports and dual out-of-band management ports, the SDC 5850 series is designed for demanding network infrastructures. The 100G ports are autosensing for 100G/40G and can be segmented into four interfaces, enabling up to 128x25G or 10G ports. The modular design includes support for interchangeable power supplies and fan trays, allowing for field-configurable airflow.

This series is an ideal choice for high-density 100GE or 25GE access and aggregation within data centers and cloud networks. It can also function effectively as a Top-of-Rack (ToR) access switch in overlay or integrated network architectures.

Key Features and Benefits

  • High Port Density and Forwarding Capacity: Offers high-density 100G/40G/25G/10G ports with a forwarding capacity of up to 6.4Tbps, facilitating high-density server access in advanced data centers.
  • IRF2 (Intelligent Resilience Architecture): Virtualizes multiple devices into a single logical unit, enhancing scalability, reliability, and availability for unified data center switching.
  • Abundant Data Center Features: Supports VXLAN for enhanced Layer 2 segmentation and network path utilization, and MP-BGP EVPN for simplified VXLAN control plane management. It also includes support for Priority-based Flow Control (PFC), Enhanced Transmission Selection (ETS), and Data Center Bridging eXchange (DCBX).
  • INTELBRAS Distributed Resilient Network Interconnection (DRNI): Enables link aggregation across multiple switches for device-level link backup and provides simplified topology and high availability.
  • Powerful Visibility: Integrates In-band Telemetry (INT) for efficient network monitoring and offers various traffic analysis tools like sFlow, NetStream, and mirroring for detailed network insights.
  • ROCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet): Facilitates efficient data transfer by allowing direct application data access to server storage, reducing CPU load and enabling lossless Ethernet networks.
  • Flexible Programmability: Features industry-leading programmable switching chips that allow users to customize forwarding logic and develop new network features through software updates.
