AIR PURIFIER OVERVIEW
Filters:
- Pre-Filter: Captures large particles such as dust.
- HEPA Filter: Removes microscopic particles down to 0.3 microns in size, such as fine dust, smoke, pollen, bacteria, and mold.
- Activated Carbon Filter: Removes gases, light odors, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
Placement:
For optimal performance, place the purifier on the ground or a stable surface. Since air is drawn in through the front sides, it can be placed near a wall.
Fan Speed:
There are three fan speeds plus Auto and Night Modes. Pressing the fan speed button cycles through fan speeds and Auto Mode.
Night Mode:
This mode reduces fan speed to the quietest level and turns off the air quality display. The blue lights on the user interface remain on but are dimmed.
Timer:
There are 4 timer settings: 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours. The air purifier will turn off after the set time.
Kid Lock:
Pressing the Timer and Speed buttons simultaneously locks the air purifier. Press and hold both buttons again to unlock.
Remote Control:
Lost remotes can be purchased at Oransi.com.
Auto Mode:
In Auto Mode, the unit automatically adjusts fan speed based on the air quality sensor reading. The sensor requires about 10 minutes to warm up for maximum sensitivity. For allergy sufferers, running the purifier at the highest acceptable fan speed is suggested.
Air Quality Sensor (AQS):
The AQS measures and displays air quality in three color codes: green, yellow, and red, corresponding to particle counts:
- Green: 0-75 ug/m³
- Yellow: 76-150 ug/m³
- Red: >150 ug/m³
If the AQS consistently shows poor quality, wipe the lens with a clean cloth or use a can of compressed air (like those used for keyboards) to remove accumulated dust from the sensor.
Filter Reset:
When the purifier has run for 2,000 hours, the maintenance indicator illuminates to remind you to check the HEPA filter. Replace it when it appears dark grey. After maintenance, press the "Filter Reset" button to reset the counter.
Filter Reset Button Instructions:
The filter reset button is sensitive. Use your thumb and press the reset button. While applying pressure, rotate your thumb back and forth to find the correct spot to reset. The reset light will turn off when successful.
Let's keep each other healthy.
MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS ARE LISTED IN NUMERICAL ORDER. USE AIR PURIFIER OVERVIEW PAGE FOR REFERENCE.
Cover and Housing:
- Power off the unit and unplug before any maintenance.
- Clean the unit only when necessary. If used in a dirty environment, more frequent cleaning may be required.
- Wipe away dust with a soft cloth (can be dry or damp, but not wet).
- Do not use any cleaners or chemicals on the air purifier.
Replacing Filters:
- Ensure the air purifier is turned off and unplugged.
- Pull the front cover from the bottom towards you and lift up.
- There are two swivel tabs at the top of the filter that hold it in place. Slide these to remove the filters.
- Install the carbon filter first, then the HEPA filter with the foam side facing you.
- To replace the cover, insert it at the top first. There are four openings where the tabs from the top cover are placed. Rotate the cover to seat it at the bottom.
NOTE:
- The Pre-Filter is made of foam and can be wiped or lightly vacuumed. It is designed to be replaced with the HEPA filter.
- HEPA filter and Carbon filter: When the air purifier has run for 2,000 hours, the Filter Reset indicator illuminates to remind the user to check the HEPA and carbon filter. After maintenance, press "Filter Reset" to reset the filter replacement indicator.
Sensors:
- Clean out dust blocking the sensor's air inlet.
- If the sensor is giving a false reading, vacuum around the sensor to remove accumulated dust. If vacuuming does not resolve the issue, spray the sensor with compressed air.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Using Your Oransi
Always operate your air purifier indoors on a level surface. Locate it where you spend most of your time (e.g., bedroom, living space, office, classroom). Set the fan speed to a comfortable level; lower settings are less audible. For larger areas, consider a higher fan speed when you are absent and lower it upon return.
Air enters the Oransi at the bottom and exits the top. You can place the unit anywhere in a room, but ensure curtains do not block air intake or exit.
The Air Quality Sensor is located on the unit.
