Getting It Out Of the Box
Congratulations on purchasing the InfiniPix™ Cyclone. Carefully unpack the box and check the contents to ensure all parts are present and in good condition. If any item appears damaged in transit, notify the shipper immediately and keep the packing material for inspection. Save the original carton and all packing materials, as they are important if the fixture needs to be returned to the factory.
Powering Up!
All fixtures must be powered directly off a switched circuit. They cannot be run off a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel is used solely for a 0% to 100% switch. Warning: All fixtures must be connected to circuits with a suitable Ground (Earthing).

InfiniPix™ Cyclone Pin-Up Picture
The fixture is a circular lighting unit with a durable composite housing. It features a dense array of 325 x 0.2W RGB 5050 SMD LEDs arranged in concentric circles, creating dynamic visual patterns. It includes a mounting bracket and locking knobs for adjustment.
The Rear Connections
The rear panel of the fixture provides access to essential ports and controls:
- +5V USB: For powering accessories like wireless DMX receivers.
- Power Out: Allows power to be passed to another fixture.
- Power In: Connects to the power source.
- Cooling Vent: Ensures proper airflow for heat dissipation.
- Menu: Button to navigate the control panel.
- DMX In: XLR connector for receiving DMX control signals.
- DMX Out: XLR connector for sending DMX control signals to other fixtures.
- Fuse: Housing for the main power fuse.
3. Setup
⚠ Before replacing the fuse, disconnect the power cord. ALWAYS replace it with the same type and rating.
Fuse Replacement
Remove the fuse holder from its housing. Take out the damaged fuse and replace it with an identical type and rating. Reattach the fuse holder and reconnect power.
Connecting A Bunch of InfiniPix™ Cyclone Fixtures
To run light shows using a DMX-512 controller or to synchronize multiple fixtures in master/slave mode, a serial data link is required. The total number of DMX channels needed by all fixtures on the link determines the maximum number of fixtures the link can support. Fixtures must be daisy-chained in a single line. Connecting more than 32 fixtures without a DMX optically-isolated splitter may degrade the DMX signal. The maximum recommended cable-run distance is 500 meters (1640 ft).
Data/DMX Cabling
Use data-grade cables for linking fixtures to ensure a high-quality signal and reduce electromagnetic interference. Belden® 9841 is recommended for EIA RS-485 applications. Standard microphone cables may work but are less reliable over long distances. Recommended cable characteristics include:
- 2-conductor twisted pair plus a shield.
- Maximum capacitance between conductors: 30 pF/ft.
- Maximum capacitance between conductor & shield: 55 pF/ft.
- Maximum resistance: 20 ohms / 1000 ft.
- Nominal impedance: 100 – 140 ohms.
Cable Connectors
Cables require a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other.
A Word on Termination: DMX is resilient but prone to signal errors. A terminator reduces these errors. If experiencing erratic behavior, especially over long runs, a terminator can help.
To build your own DMX Terminator: Obtain a 120-ohm, 1/4-watt resistor and wire it between pins 2 & 3 of the last fixture. Terminators are also available from specialty retailers.
CAUTION: Do not allow contact between the common (pin 1) and the fixture's chassis ground. This can cause a ground loop and erratic performance. Test cables with an ohm meter to verify correct polarity and ensure pins are not grounded or shorted.
3-Pin??? 5-Pin??? Huh?!?
If your controller uses a 5-pin DMX output, you will need a 5-pin to 3-pin adapter. Here is a proper cable conversion chart:
| Conductor | 3-Pin Female (Output) | 5-Pin Male (Input) |
|---|---|---|
| Ground/Shield | Pin 1 | Pin 1 |
| Data 1- (Primary Data Link) | Pin 2 | Pin 2 |
| Data 1+ (Primary Data Link) | Pin 3 | Pin 3 |
| Data 2- (Optional Secondary Data Link) | -- | Pin 4 - Do Not Use |
| Data 2+ (Optional Secondary Data Link) | -- | Pin 5 - Do Not Use |
Take It To The Next Level: Setting Up DMX Control
- Connect the male connector of the DMX cable to the female connector (output) on the controller.
- Connect the female connector of the DMX cable to the first fixture's male connector (input). Note: The order of fixture connection does not depend on address number; connect based on proximity to the controller.
- Connect subsequent fixtures in the chain from output to input. Place a DMX terminator on the output of the final fixture to ensure best communication.
Diagram Description: Shows DMX IN and DMX OUT ports on fixtures, illustrating a daisy-chain connection with a first fixture and the next fixture in the chain.
Fixture Linking (M/S Mode)
- Connect the male connector side of the DMX cable to the output female connector of the first fixture.
- Connect the cable from the first fixture's female connector to the next fixture's male connector (input). Continue this process for all fixtures.
A quick note: For Master-Slave and Standalone operation, the first fixture often needs to be initialized as a master via control panel settings or DIP-switches. Subsequent fixtures may need to be set as slaves. Refer to the "Operating Adjustments" section for detailed configuration.

Mounting & Rigging
Mount the fixture in any SAFE position that allows adequate ventilation. Ensure fan or vent pathways are never obstructed.
IMPORTANT: Always secure your fixture with a safety cable, regardless of the rigging option chosen.
Mount the fixture using a suitable "C" or "O" type clamp. The clamp must be rated to hold at least 10x the fixture's weight for structural stability. Do not mount to surfaces of unknown strength. Ensure properly rated rigging is used for overhead mounting.
Overhead mounting requires significant experience, including calculating working load limits, knowledge of installation materials, and periodic safety inspections. If you lack these qualifications, do not attempt installation yourself.

5. Appendix
Keeping Your InfiniPix™ Cyclone As Good As New
To ensure optimal performance, keep the fixture clean, especially in dusty or humid environments. Regularly clean the optics with a suitable glass cleaner to maintain light output quality. Keep fans free of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
Always transport fixtures in protective cases, similar to how valuable musical instruments are transported.
Proper care and common sense are key to maintaining peak performance and ensuring your lighting shows are successful.
Returns (Gasp!)
If a unit is defective or requires service, obtain a Return Authorization (RA) by visiting blizzardpro.com/support and opening a support ticket. Ship the unit using a trackable, pre-paid freight method (e.g., USPS Priority or UPS), preferably in its original box and packing.
When returning your fixture for service, include:
- Contact information (Name, Address, Phone Number, Email address).
- The issued RA number.
- A brief description of the problem/symptoms.
Blizzard Lighting will, at its discretion, repair or replace the fixture. The customer is responsible for any shipping damage incurred during transit to Blizzard Lighting.
Shipping Issues
Damage incurred during shipping is the responsibility of the shipper. Report any damage to the carrier immediately upon receipt. Claims must be made within seven (7) days of receipt.
