Installation Guide

Before Wiring and Installing...

CAUTION: Electrical Shock or Equipment Damage Hazard. Can shock individuals or short equipment circuitry. Installer must be a trained, experienced service technician.

Wiring

Refer to the diagrams for wiring connections. The thermostat supports various configurations:

  • Two Pipe, On/off: Connect AC 95-240V (N, L), Fan (High, Med, Low), and Valve (Open, Close) terminals.
  • Four Pipe, On/off: Connect AC 95-240V (N, L), Fan (High, Med, Low), Cooling Valve (Open, Close), and Heating Valve (Open, Close) terminals.

Note: Diagrams show connections for Modbus communication (TE) and standard wiring (RED/WHITE wires).

Installation Steps

  1. Step 1: Ensure power is turned off before proceeding. (Refer to Fig 1 for initial state).
  2. Step 2: Mount the wall plate securely to the wall. (Refer to Fig 2).
  3. Step 3: Connect power supply and load wires to the appropriate terminals on the thermostat base. (Refer to "Wiring your thermostat" for details and Fig 3).
  4. Step 4: Attach the thermostat to the wall plate. (Refer to Fig 4).
  5. Step 5: Power on the system. (Refer to Fig 5 and Fig 6 for final appearance).

Operation

Home Screen Quick Reference

The home screen displays key information:

  • 16: Current Room Temperature
  • 17: Set Temperature
  • 18: Time Display (AM/PM or 24hr)
  • 19: Day of the Week (Monday to Sunday)
  • 20: Fan Speed Indicator (Low, Med, High, Auto)
  • 21: Mode Indicator (Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Off)
  • 22: Wi-Fi Status Indicator
  • Lock Icon: Indicates if the thermostat is locked.
  • Clock Icon: Indicates if the clock is set.
  • Manual/Program Icon: Indicates current operating mode (Manual or Program).
  • +/- Icons: Used for adjusting temperature or settings.
  • Power Icon: Turns the thermostat On/Off.
  • Period Icons (1-6): Indicate the current programmable period.

During Power On

  • 1. Power On/off: Press the power icon [power-icon] to turn the thermostat on or off.
  • 2. Manual & Programmable Mode: Press the mode icon [mode-icon] to cycle through HEATING, COOLING, and VENTILATION. In VENTILATION mode, the valve is off but the fan runs. Press and hold the [mode-icon] to select manual mode. Press the [program-icon] to select weekly programmable mode.
  • 3. Set Temperature: In manual mode, press the [up-arrow] or [down-arrow] to set the desired temperature. "SET" will flash briefly.
  • 4. Fan Speed Adjustment: Press the fan icon [fan-icon] to select fan speed: AUTO, HIGH, MED, LOW.
  • 5. Locking your thermostat: Press and hold the [up-arrow] and [down-arrow] simultaneously for 5 seconds to lock or unlock the thermostat.
  • 6. Setting Time and Weekday: Press the [clock-icon] and hold. The hour will flash. Press [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to set the hour, then press [mode-icon] to switch to minute, press [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to set the minute. Press [mode-icon] again to switch to weekday (1=Monday, 7=Sunday). Use [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to set the weekday. Press [mode-icon] to confirm and exit.
  • 7. Weekly Programmable Schedule: Press the [program-icon] to access programming. Use [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to adjust time and temperature for each period. The thermostat has 6 periods per day: 3 Comfort periods and 3 Economy periods.

    Schedules are only active in program mode. Touch the mode icon [mode-icon] to switch between manual and program mode. The screen will show period numbers (1-6) at the top. Use the [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to set temperature for each period. Repeat for all 6 periods and for the weekend schedule.

During Power Off

When the power is off, pressing and holding the [up-arrow] and [down-arrow] allows access to advanced settings (Code 1-D). Use the [mode-icon] to cycle through settings and [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] to adjust values.

Wi-Fi Connection

Before using your Wi-Fi thermostat, you must configure it:

Step 1: Download Your APP

Download the "Smart Life" app from the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). Look for the app icon [app-icon].

Step 2: Register Your Account

Open "Smart Life". Allow notifications. Click "Allow" to go to the registration page. Press "Register", enter your phone number or email, and get a verification code. Input your password and confirm to complete registration. If you have an account, log in.

Step 3: Connect Your Wi-Fi Signal (EZ Mode)

On your thermostat: With power off, press and hold the [up-arrow] for eight (8) seconds. The backlight will turn on, and the Wi-Fi icon [wifi-icon] will flash rapidly (one flash per second). This indicates EZ mode.

In the App:

  1. Go to the app's home page and press the '+' icon in the upper right corner to add a device.
  2. Click "Confirm indicator rapidly blink" [confirm-icon] and select your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password and confirm.
  4. The app will connect automatically. This may take 5-90 seconds.
  5. Your room name can be edited once the device is connected.

Note on AP Mode: If EZ mode fails (e.g., weak signal, router incompatibility), use AP Mode. On the thermostat, press and hold the [up-arrow] for eight (8) seconds twice (total 16 seconds) until the Wi-Fi icon [wifi-icon] flashes slowly (one flash every three seconds). In the app, select "AP Mode", click "Confirm indicator slowly blink", select your network, enter the password, and connect.

Programming Your Thermostat (via App)

Once connected, you will see your thermostat on the app's home screen. The round button [power-button] turns the room on/off. Click on the thermostat to access detailed controls:

  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] icons to set the desired temperature. The current set temperature is displayed.
  • Mode Selection: Icons for HEATING [heat-icon], COOLING [cool-icon], and FAN SPEED (LOW [low-fan-icon], MED [med-fan-icon], HIGH [high-fan-icon], AUTO [auto-fan-icon]) are available.
  • Program Mode: Click the schedule settings icon [schedule-icon] to set your weekly program. Select working days (Mon-Fri) or weekend days. Adjust time and temperature for each of the 6 periods using the [up-arrow]/[down-arrow] icons. Press "SAVE" to send the program to the thermostat.

Grouping Devices

To control multiple thermostats simultaneously, press the menu icon [menu-icon] and select "Create Group". Select the rooms you want to group and confirm. The creator of the group can control all rooms in the group at once.

Sharing Your Device

You can share access to your thermostat with family members. From the app's profile page [profile-icon], select "Device Sharing", then add the account you wish to share with. You can view shared devices and accounts.

Smart Scene

Create custom "Smart Scenes" for automated actions based on conditions like time, temperature, or device status. Press the '+' button to create a new scene, select devices and actions (e.g., set temperature, turn on/off), and save. Scenes can be deleted from the settings.

Note: Room sound can be enabled/disabled in PROFILE > SETTINGS > SOUND.
