UDisplay Instructions
For Windows Users
Initial Setup:
- Connect the USB-A to HDMI adapter to your computer.
- Access "My Computer" or "This PC". A virtual CD Drive (E:) labeled "UDisplay" should appear.
- Double-click the "UDisplay" drive to launch the installer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the UDisplay application.
Note: During the initial installation of the screen extension function, your computer may prompt for confirmation and potentially restart, which is a normal process.
For Macbook Users (Mac OS)
Initial Setup:
- Connect the USB-A to HDMI adapter to your MacBook.
- A CD-ROM driver named "UDisplay" will appear in the upper right corner of your desktop.
- Click on the UDisplay icon to install the UDisplay application.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Granting Permissions (First Use):
- After installation, the application may require specific system permissions.
- Click the lock icon in System Preferences, enter your password, and click "unlock" to make changes.
- You will be prompted to grant access for:
- Screen Recording: Check "UDisplay".
- Accessibility Access: Check "UDisplay".
- Input Monitoring: Check "UDisplay".
- For some permissions (like Keystroke Receiving), you may need to click "Quit and reopen" for the changes to take effect.
Equipment Upgrade Steps
This process allows you to update the adapter's firmware.
For Windows Users
- Open the UDisplay application.
- Navigate to "Device Settings" and then select "Device Version".
- Select the device you wish to upgrade.
- Click "Wait for Upgrade" and then "Start Upgrade".
- Once the progress bar completes and the device restarts, the firmware upgrade will be successful.
For Macbook Users (Mac OS)
- Open the UDisplay application.
- Navigate to "Device Settings" and then select "Device Version".
- Select the device you wish to upgrade.
- Click "Wait for Upgrade" and then "Start Upgrade".

Precautions
- Mac computers require manual opening of the UDisplay application during the first run.
- If you encounter issues in extended mode, please verify that your Mac is configured to use its built-in display in the Mac display settings.
- The UDisplay adapter supports a maximum output resolution of 1080P.
- Compatible operating systems are Windows 10 and above, and Mac OS 10.15 and above. Ensure your computer's operating system is up to date. Android and Linux are not supported.
