MUTEC Offers Upgrade to Ultimate 10 MHz Reference Master Clock REF10 SE120
MUTEC GmbH, a manufacturer of audio equipment for studio professionals and audiophile consumers, proudly announces an attractive upgrade option for their REF10 reference master clock.
In the interest of general sustainability and the lasting value of MUTEC products, the company now offers the possibility of upgrading the proven MUTEC REF10 to the perfected level of the REF10 SE120. Released in autumn 2020, the REF10 SE120 represents the absolute top in the field of reference master clocks, with technical specifications leading the industry in terms of phase noise and jitter.
Both models share the same technical foundation. An upgrade to the REF10 SE120 is achieved by replacing the standard oscillator with the more elaborately manufactured, hand-selected SE120 oscillator. Additional testing and calibrations are performed to ensure the customer receives their REF10 back as a fully-fledged REF10 SE120.
The upgrade enhances the sound quality of connected audio devices, notably improving aspects such as resolution, spatiality, coherence, and realism. The acoustic stage becomes wider, and the sonic depth of instruments becomes more concise.

Upgrade Pricing
- The price for the upgrade, including unit testing, final oscillator calibration, and an individual measurement report, is 1,999.00 Euro.
- The price for the upgrade with an additional new front panel and new case, including REF10 SE120 artworks, is 2,299.00 Euro.
The upgrade service is exclusively executed directly by MUTEC in Berlin.
