The Adesso 9-IN-1 USB-C Multiport docking station is simple to use, just plug and play! Expand your laptop and TYPE-C device's connection port with this USB Type-C multiport docking station. It has dual HDMI port for transmitting 8K content to your external monitor and can also charge other devices. This USB Type-C multi-port docking station has 3 USB 3.0 superspeed ports, SD and TF card reader slots, and 1 RJ45 Port.

Overview

The overview shows the Adesso AUH-4040 docking station. Ports labeled include: USB-C Cable, SD Card Slot, TF Card Slot, RJ45 Port, PD Adapter, USB 3.0 Port, and HDMI Female Port. The reverse side shows two USB 3.0 Ports and an HDMI Female Port.

Getting Started

Insert the USB-C Cable into your device's Type C port.
Your operating system will automatically detect the device, and your device is now ready for use.

About USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1

USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1. This connectivity standard offers speeds up to 5Gbps.

About USB-C

Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C standard. Some ports might only provide data transfers, and might not support video or USB Power Delivery 3.0. For this adapter to operate properly, check to ensure that your host laptop supports DP Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery 3.0.

If your laptop supports DP Alt Mode, but not USB Power Delivery, then the multiport docking station will be powered by your laptop's host USB-C port.

Thunderbolt™ 3

Thunderbolt™ 3 technology also uses the USB-C connector, so you can connect the adapter to a Thunderbolt 3 port. The adapter will connect to the Thunderbolt 3 port at the USB speed of 5Gbps.

USB Power Delivery 3.0

USB Power Delivery 3.0 is a specification that allows power (up to 100 watts) to be sent over a USB-C or Thunderbolt™ 3 cable that supports the specification. The adapter supports USB Power Delivery 3.0, delivering up to 100 watts of power through the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your laptop.

DisplayPort Alternative Mode

DisplayPort Alternative Mode is a specification that allows a video signal to transfer over USB-C.

Limited Warranty

Adesso provides a one year limited warranty for all of its products against defects in materials and workmanship.

During this period, Adesso will repair or replace any product which proves to be defective. However, Adesso will not warrant any product which has been subject to improper handling, abuse, negligence, improper installation or unauthorized repair. The warranty will not cover products installed with components not approved by Adesso and products where the sealed assembly trace has been broken.

If you discover a defect, Adesso will, at its option, repair or replace the product free of charge, provided you return it during the warranty period with freight charges pre-paid to Adesso. Before returning any product, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). This RMA # must be clearly marked on the outside of the package you are returning for warranty service. Be certain to also include your name, shipping address (no PO Boxes), telephone number, and a copy of the invoice showing proof of purchase in the package.
