Device Parts
The ThinkNode G3 LoRaWAN Gateway consists of the following parts:
- 1. Reload Button
- 2. Type-C Port: 5V/1A
- 3. Ethernet Port: Supports 10Mbps/100Mbps
- 4. SIM Card Socket: Available on the 4G Version
- 5. LINK Status LED
- 6. LoRa Status LED
- 7. PWR Status LED
- 8. LoRa Antenna
- 9. 4G Antenna: Optional
Product LED Status:
- When the device is powered on, the red LED remains solid.
- During data transmission, the blue LED blinks.
- After the device is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the green LED remains solid.

Wi-Fi Setup Steps
- Power on the device. Press and hold the Reload button for 5 seconds, then release. The device will enter the gateway configuration mode, and the green LED (LINK) will blink. Connect a computer to the gateway's Wi-Fi network (ThinkNode-G3_xxxxxx) using the password: 88888888.
- Open a browser and navigate to 192.168.4.1 to access the gateway configuration page. Configure the following settings:
- NET MODE: WIFI
- WIFI SSID: Enter the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to (non-5GHz Wi-Fi network).
- WIFI PASS: Enter the password for the Wi-Fi network.
- Gateway ID: xxxxxxffffexxXXX
- SERVER ADDR: eu1.cloud.thethings.network (default)
- SERVER PORT: 1700 (default)
- REGION: EU868/US915/AU915 (Select according to the actual frequency band).
- CHANNEL: Choose according to the frequency of the connected device.
- SF: Choose according to the frequency of the connected device.
- TIME ZONE: UTC
- Click Submit to save the configuration settings. The gateway will automatically reboot, and the green LED (LINK) will turn off temporarily before remaining solid.
Ethernet Setup Steps
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the device and power it on. Press and hold the Reload button for 5 seconds, then release. The device will enter the gateway configuration mode, and the green LED (LINK) will blink. Connect a computer to the gateway's Wi-Fi network (ThinkNode-G3_xxxxxx) using the password: 88888888.
- Open a browser and navigate to 192.168.4.1 to access the gateway configuration page. Configure the following settings:
- NET MODE: NET
- WIFI SSID: (Leave blank for Ethernet mode)
- WIFI PASS: (Leave blank for Ethernet mode)
- Gateway ID: xxxxxxffffexxXX
- SERVER ADDR: eu1.cloud.thethings.network (default)
- SERVER PORT: 1700 (default)
- REGION: EU868/US915/AU915 (Select according to the actual frequency band).

Base Installation Steps
- Secure the base to the wall or other target installation area using screws.
- Align the bottom slots of the ThinkNode-G3 with the mounting pegs on the base.
- Rotate the ThinkNode-G3 clockwise until it locks securely into position.
