Important Safeguards
Read all instructions before using this dehumidifier. Follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
- After transporting, wait 1 hour before using.
- Do not store or use flammable vapors/liquids nearby. Do not install near heat sources. Use common sense and caution.
- For adult use only. Do not allow children to play with or be unattended near the appliance. Do not allow children to sit or stand on it.
- Designed for domestic living areas only. Operate in an enclosed area with all doors and windows closed for maximum effectiveness.
- Do not modify the appliance; modifications can be dangerous.
- Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or after malfunction. Return to authorized service for examination/repair.
- Accessory attachments are not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- The appliance has a three-prong grounding plug. Do not cut or remove the grounding prong.
- Plug directly into a properly grounded, polarized three-prong outlet. If the outlet is not suitable, have a qualified electrician install the proper one. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
- Never unplug by pulling the power cord. Grip the plug firmly and pull straight out. Do not pinch, bend, or knot the cord.
- Always remove the plug before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use.
- Do not place heavy or hot objects on top of the appliance.
- Clean the air filter at least once a week.
- Transport the appliance upright or on its side. Drain the tank before transporting.
- WARNING: Handling the cord may expose you to lead, a chemical known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Operating the Dehumidifier
Stand-by Position
Once plugged in, the display shows the desired humidity level (default 60%) on the left and the room humidity level on the right (after a brief display of two dots).
Selecting the Desired Humidity Level
- Press the [STAND-BY button].
- Press the [plus button] or [minus button] to set the desired humidity level (30% for a dry environment, 80% for a humid environment).
- Press the [MODE button] to select the dehumidifying function. The function is active when a small dot is displayed under the [dehumidifier symbol].
- The appliance will automatically stop working when the set humidity point is reached. It will resume dehumidification when the humidity increases above the set point.
Note: The appliance has a safety device and will only operate after a 3-minute delay from the last time it was turned off.
Using the FAN Function
- Press the [STAND-BY button].
- Press the [MODE button] to select the FAN function. The function is active when a small dot is displayed under the [fan symbol].
- Press the [fan speed button] to modify the ventilation speed (min/med/max).
Turbo Power
- Press the [TURBO POWER button].
- This function provides automatic dehumidification at maximum power. The display will show two dots on the left and the room humidity on the right.
- To stop the turbo power function, press the [TURBO POWER button] again.
Programming the Delayed Start Function (From OFF Position)
- With the unit OFF, press the [TIMER button] and use the [plus button] to set the number of hours (1-24h) after which the appliance should start.
- The display will show the selected hours, and a small dot under the [timer symbol] indicates the timer function is selected.
- The appliance will start working when the selected time is reached.
Programming the Delayed Stop Function (From ON Position)
- With the unit ON, press the [TIMER button] and use the [plus button] or [minus button] to set the number of hours (1-24h) after which the appliance should stop.
- The display will show the selected hours, and a small dot under the [timer symbol] indicates the timer function is selected.
- The appliance will stop working when the selected time is reached.
Installation Instructions
- Allow at least 12 inches (30cm) of space on all sides for good air circulation.
- Install on a floor, table, or shelf. Ensure the surface is strong enough to support the unit's weight with a full bucket. Secure if on a table or shelf. Do not sit or stand on the unit.
- Ensure the water tank is properly positioned.
- Castor wheels allow for easy movement.

Choosing the Proper Location
- Basements to prevent moisture damage.
- Cooking, laundry, bathing, and dishwashing areas with excessive moisture.
- Areas where books or valuables are stored to prevent moisture damage.
- Anywhere comfortable conditions are desired.
List of Components
- For models with pump system: 16 ft. (5 m) clear hose with Quick-Connect, 3 ft. (1 m) clear hose.
- For all other models: 3 ft. (1 m) clear hose.
Required Tools and Assembly Time
- Collection tank: No assembly or plumbing necessary.
- Continuous draining outlet: Requires a 5 mm (0.2 in.) drill bit and a drill tool. Estimated assembly time: 1-2 minutes.
- Pump system and Quick-Connect hose: No tools necessary. Estimated assembly time: 1-2 minutes.
Disposing of Collected Water
A) Empty the Tank Manually
When the tank is full, remove it and empty into a sink. Replace it properly. A beep indicates the tank is not in the proper position.

B) Continuous Draining (via Hose)
Condensed water can be drained via a hose connected to the outlet:
- Remove the water tank.
- Drill a 5 mm (0.2 in.) hole in the base of the tank along the torus as shown in the diagram.
- Connect a hose to the hose connector. Ensure the hose does not kink or bend and is not higher than the hose connection. Keep the removed rubber cap in a safe place.

C) Continuous Draining using the Pump (for pump models)
The pump system allows water removal up to 13.12 feet (4m) in height. Connect the condensation discharge tube to the connection pipe on the lower part of the unit. Select the dehumidifying function and press the [PUMP button].
Note: If the condensation discharge hose is missing and the pump is ON, the pump light will blink. Check hose position and reconnect the appliance if necessary.

Care and Maintenance
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Always disconnect the power supply cord before performing any maintenance. Failure to follow these precautions may result in electrical shock or personal injury.
Your dehumidifier is designed for year-round service. Follow these care and maintenance instructions:
Cleaning the Front Panel and Cabinet
- Use a soft cloth with warm water and mild soap or detergent. Never sprinkle water into the appliance.
- Do not use gasoline, thinner, or similar chemicals.
- Do not use bleach or abrasives.
Cleaning the Air Filter
A dirty air filter compromises air circulation and reduces dehumidifying efficiency. Clean the filter regularly:
- To remove the air filter, pull it out.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust. If very dirty, wash in warm water, rinse, and allow to dry completely before replacing.

Troubleshooting Tips

Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to all DeLonghi or Kenwood brand home appliances for contiguous United States residents.
DeLonghi warrants each appliance to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the purchase date, including free parts and labor. An additional four (4) years of warranty covers parts of the sealed system (compressor, evaporator, condenser, refrigerant tubing). Labor and all other parts during this additional period are the owner's responsibility. All repairs require shipping to an authorized DeLonghi service center at the owner's expense; DeLonghi covers return shipping costs. After five years of ownership, all expenses (parts, labor, shipping) are the owner's responsibility. This warranty applies only if the appliance is used according to factory directions and on an AC circuit. It supersedes all other warranties, expressed or implied. DeLonghi does not authorize others to assume liability. This warranty does not apply to appliances repaired or altered outside the factory, or those subjected to misuse, negligence, or accidents.
