Main Unit Overview
The main unit features the following controls and indicators:
- ① / : Short press to switch input source. Long press for Power On/Standby.
- ② II : In BT/USB mode: Play/Pause.
- ③ - : Decrease volume.
- ④ + : Increase volume.
- ⑤ LED : Soundbar LED indicator.
Remote Control Overview
The remote control allows you to operate the SoundBar:
- 1. ST-BY: Switch the SoundBar on or to standby.
- 2. MUTE (x): Mute or restore volume.
- 3. Input: Source Switch (Audio In, Bluetooth [bt], USB [USb], HDMI [ArC]).
- 4. VOL+: Volume up.
- 5. PREVIOUS (◄◄): In BT/USB mode, press to go to the previous track. In USB mode, long press to rewind.
- 6. NEXT (►►): In BT/USB mode, press to go to the next track. In USB mode, long press to fast forward.
- 7. PLAY/PAUSE (II): In BT/USB mode, Play, Pause, or resume play.
- 8. VOL-: Volume down.
- 9. TRE-: Decrease treble.
- 10. TRE+: Increase treble.
- 11. BASS-: Decrease bass.
- 12. BASS+: Increase bass.
- 13. EQ: Select EQ mode (e.g., "Movie", "Music", "Voice", "Stadium").
3 Connect
Connect your SoundBar to a TV and other devices.
Note: For identification and supply ratings, refer to the type plate on the product. Ensure all devices are disconnected from the power outlet before making or changing connections.
Connectors
The SoundBar features the following connectors:
- ① AUX IN: Audio input (e.g., from an MP3 player via a 3.5mm jack).
- ② HDMI (ARC): Connect to the HDMI input on the TV.
- ③ USB: Supports U disk for playing music.
- ④ DC IN: Connect the soundbar to the power supply.
Placement
Place your SoundBar as shown in the diagrams (textual description: The soundbar is shown placed horizontally in front of a TV, with cables connecting to the TV and power source).
Connect the SoundBar
Connect the soundbar to the power supply using the DC IN connector.
Connect Audio from TV and Other Devices
Option 1: Connect audio through USB
Connect a U disk to the USB port to play music.
Option 2: Connect audio through a 3.5mm stereo audio cable
Using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable, connect the AUX IN connector on your SoundBar to the LINE connector on the TV or other device.
Option 3: Connect to HDMI (ARC) Socket
Your Soundbar supports HDMI with Audio Return Channel (ARC). If your TV is HDMI ARC compliant, you can hear TV audio through your Soundbar using a single HDMI cable.
1. Using a High Speed HDMI cable, connect the HDMI OUT (ARC) connector on your Soundbar to the HDMI ARC connector on the TV. (Note: The HDMI ARC connector on the TV might be labeled differently; consult your TV's user manual.)
2. On your TV, turn on HDMI-CEC operations (consult your TV's user manual for details).
4 Use your SoundBar
This section helps you use the SoundBar to play audio from connected devices.
Before you start
- Make the necessary connections as described in the Quick Start Guide or download the User Manual from www.philips.com/support.
- Switch the SoundBar to the correct source for your connected devices.
Adjust the Volume
When adjusting the volume, the status indicator shows the current volume from 0 to 30.
1. Press +/- on the soundbar or press Vol+/Vol- on the remote control to increase/decrease the volume level.
Adjust the Treble and Bass
2. Press Bass -/+ on the remote control to increase/decrease the subwoofer's volume.
3. Press Treble -/+ on the remote control to increase/decrease Treble's volume.
MP3 Player
Connect your MP3 player to play audio files or music.
What you need: An MP3 player.
1. Connect your MP3 player to the USB port on the SoundBar.
2. Switch input to USB on the remote control.
3. Press the buttons on the MP3 player to select and play audio files or music.
Play Audio Through Bluetooth
Connect your Bluetooth device (e.g., iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android phone, laptop) to the SoundBar to play audio files wirelessly.
What you need: A Bluetooth device supporting A2DP and AVRCP profiles, with Bluetooth version 4.2 or above. The operational range is approximately 4 meters (13 feet).
1. Press [power button] to turn on the SoundBar and switch to "bt" mode. The LED indicator will blink.
2. On your Bluetooth device, switch on Bluetooth, search for and select "TAB4108" to start the connection.
3. Once connected, the LED indicator will stop blinking, and you will hear a voice notification.
Note: Music streaming may be interrupted by obstacles. To connect to another Bluetooth device, press and hold [play/pause button] to disconnect the current device.
Auto Standby
The product automatically switches to standby after 15 minutes of inactivity and no audio play from a connected device.
Update Software
Visit www.philips.com/support to check for software updates.
5 Wall Mount
Note: Improper wall mounting may result in accident, injury, or damage. Ensure the wall can support the weight of your SoundBar. Contact Consumer Care if you have queries.
Screw Length/Diameter
Use screws of a suitable length and diameter for your wall type (e.g., 3.0-3.5mm diameter, >25mm length for screws, 4mm for dowels).
Mounting Steps:
- Drill two holes on the wall.
- Secure the dowels and screws in the holes.
- Hang the SoundBar on the fastening screws.

7 Troubleshooting
Warning: Risk of electric shock. Never remove the casing. Never attempt to repair the product yourself to keep the warranty valid.

Main Unit
Buttons on the SoundBar do not work: Disconnect the SoundBar from the power supply for a few minutes, then reconnect.
Sound
No sound from SoundBar speakers:
- Connect the audio cable from your SoundBar to your TV or other devices.
- Reset your SoundBar to its factory settings.
- On the remote control, select the correct audio input.
- Make sure the SoundBar is not muted.
Distorted sound or echo: If playing audio from the TV, ensure the TV speakers are muted.
Bluetooth
A device cannot connect with the SoundBar:
- The device does not support the required Bluetooth profiles.
- The Bluetooth function of the device is not enabled. Consult the device's user manual.
Quality of audio play from a connected Bluetooth device is poor:
- Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the SoundBar or remove any obstacles between the device and the SoundBar.
The connected Bluetooth device connects and disconnects constantly:
- Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the SoundBar or remove any obstacles.
- Turn off the Wi-Fi function on the Bluetooth device to avoid interference.
- For some Bluetooth devices, the connection may deactivate automatically to save power; this is not a malfunction.
