User Guide of Energy Saving Tuya Zigbee Motor

I. Features

FCC Compliance

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void your authority to operate the equipment. This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. The distance between user and products should be no less than 20cm. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Operation Instruction

  1. Power ON/OFF

    After switching off power, the motor will not be able to receive remote signals.

    To turn motor ON: Turn the dial switch to the right side.

    To turn motor OFF: Turn the dial switch to the left side.

  2. Programming Preparation

    The red light flashes to indicate when power on.

    If there is no action in 10 seconds, the motor will exit programming automatically.

    Method A: Press PROG button for 1s.

    Method B: Press and hold UP+DOWN buttons for 5s at the same time.

    Motor jogs once, then it gets into adjusting mode.

  3. Paring remote

    Method A: Press PROG button for 1s.

    Motor jogs once. The motor is now in setting mode.

    Press UP button under paring mode.

    Motor jogs once, the motor and remote are now paired.

  4. Change Direction

    Under the programming preparation, press the remote "STOP" button.

    Motor jogs once, the switching is done.

    Under the programming preparation, press the remote "DOWN" button.

    Motor jogs once, the motor direction is now reversed.

  5. First limit position setting

    Press PROG on the programmed remote for 1s.

    The motor jogs once, it is now in setting mode.

    Adjust the motor to the desired position, press STOP, then press PROG.

    The first limit can be Upper or lower limit. If press UP button, then Upper limit is the first limit. If press DOWN button, then lower limit is the first limit.

    Motor jogs once, the limit position is saved.

  6. Other limit position setting

    Adjust the motor to the desired position, press STOP, then press PROG for 1s.

    The motor jogs once, it gets into setting mode.

    Press PROG button again.

    The motor jogs once again, the limit position setting is done.

  7. Limit position fine-tuning

    If there's no any action within 30s, the motor will exit from limit position preparation automatically.

    Adjust motor to the limit position, then press PROG button once.

    The motor jogs once, it gets into setting mode.

    Fine-tune the motor to the desired position.

    Press PROG button to save settings.

    The motor jogs once, fine-tuning is done.

  8. Tilt angle adjustment (Special for Zebra blinds, Shangri-la blinds etc.)

    Power ON.

    Press and hold STOP button, then press UP button, it gets a greater angle.

    Press and hold STOP button, then press DOWN button, it gets a smaller angle.

    Then press and hold STOP button for 2s to save and exit adjusting mode.

    Motor jogs then the adjustment is done.

  9. Jog movement & Continuous movement switching

    Press and hold STOP button on programmed remote for 5s.

    Motor jogs once. The motor is now in setting mode.

    The default movement of the motor is continuous, can be changed to jog movement or back to continuous movement for blind positioning or during fine tuning mode. If APP control, it is continuous movement.

  10. Delete Single Code

    Under the programming preparation, press the "PROG" on the back of programmed remote.

    Motor jogs once, single remote is deleted.

  11. Delete the limit position

    Let the motor run to the limit position which needs to be deleted, press PROG for 7s.

    The motor jogs once after 1s then goes into setting mode.

    Short press PROG button, release when red light comes on.

    The motor jogs once again after 7s, the preset limit position is now deleted.

  12. Reset motor

    Make sure the interval between every action is less than 1s.

    Method A:

    Short press PROG button again, release when red light comes on.

    Press PROG button and hold until motor jogs twice. The reset is done.

    Method B:

    Press STOP of the programmed transmitter for 5s.

    Motor jogs once.

    Press back PROG for 7s within 10s.

    Motor jogs once in 1s.

    Motor jogs two more times in 7s. The reset is done.

  13. Supplemental Instruction

    • Max. 6 limit stop positions (Upper limit/ Lower limit and 4 intermediate limit positions).
    • When the first limit position is the up limit position, all other limit positions can only be below this position; similarly, when the first limit position is the down limit position, all other limit positions can only be set above this position. These cannot be deleted.
    • Every limit position can be fine-tuned or deleted separately (the first limit position can only be fine-tuned but can't be deleted separately. It can be deleted when deleting all memories).
    • Under the jog mode, short press the up or down button, motor jogs once. Press the up or down button for more than 1s, and the motor moves to the limit positions.
    • Under the continuous move mode, quickly press the up or down button twice on the transmitter, and the motor will go directly to the up or down limit stop position without stopping at the middle limit position.
    • The light is red when charging and will turn to green when fully charged.
    • The motor will stop when the voltage is under 6.8V, and start working at 6.9V; motor moves under 7.0V, the red light will flash (the working voltage).
    • Battery shortage alarm: The red light flashes when the battery capacity is below 7.0V, yet it is still in continuous move mode. The motor will step into jog mode when the battery capacity is below 6.8V, which means you must charge the motor.
    • The motor needs to unlock in a different direction when it is blocked; change the jog direction if it is the same as the jog direction.
    • The charge cable needs to have the data transfer function. Motor charging needs to use a TYPE-C charging cable with data transmission function.
  14. APP Instructions

    1. Download and Install APP: Scan the QR code, then download and install the APP.

    2. Add Device: On the "Welcome home" interface, choose "Add a device" or click "+" at the right corner.

    3. Select Gateway: On this interface, click "manually add" > "Gateway control" > "wireless gateway (Zigbee)".

    4. Network Configuration: Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password. If your Wi-Fi is 5GHz, please set it to be 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

    5. Gateway Setup: Power on the gateway, long press the setting button on the gateway until the red indicator light flashes quickly and blue light is on for long. Click "Confirm the indicator is blinking rapidly" > "next step".

    6. Matching Network: On the interface of intelligent gateway, click "add sub device".

    7. Finish Adding Gateway: Click "Done".

    8. Add Subdevice: On the interface, make the motor match network. (Short press the PROG for 5 times constantly by the speed of once every second and hold it for 3 seconds at the 5th press), then the motor jogs, entering networking matching mode, the green light flashes. Click the "LED already blink".

    9. Network Matching: The motor matches network successfully. The green light stops flashing and starts long flash for 2s, the motor jogs, you finish adding a device, click "Done".

    10. Control Device: On the interface of controlling device, click "More" for further operations like setting switch direction, tilt angle, factory reset, delete all limits, and checking battery level.

    Troubleshooting:
