Model Number Identification
The model number follows a specific structure:
C 35 - [Nominal Cooling Capacity] [Coil Width] - [Metering Device] - [Minor Revision Number]
- Unit Type: C = Indoor Coil, Upflow
- Nominal Cooling Capacity: 18/24 (1.5/2 tons), 24 (2 tons), 30 (2.5 tons), 30/36 (2.5/3 tons), 36 (3 tons), 48 (3.5/4 tons), 49 (4 tons), 50/60 (4/5 tons), 60 (5 tons)
- Coil Width: A (14-1/2 in.), B (17-1/2 in.), C (21 in.), D (24-1/2 in.)
- Metering Device: 2 = Factory installed refrigerant metering device (RFC)
Note: Furnaces with the same letter designation physically match the indoor coil. Coils have different widths but will fit the corresponding furnace cabinet.

Approvals
- Tested with matching air conditioners and heat pump units in the Lennox Research Laboratory environmental test room in accordance with AHRI Standard 210/240.
- AHRI Certified system match-ups and expanded ratings available at www.LennoxPros.com.
- Air resistance tests conducted by Lennox Laboratory air test chamber.
Warranty
- All other covered components:
- Limited five years in residential installations.
- Limited one year in non-residential installations.

Applications
- 1.5 to 5 ton nominal sizes.
- Lennox designed upflow indoor coils are easily installed with most Lennox upflow furnaces.
- Applicable to expansion valve or RFCIV systems.
- RFCIV metering device is factory installed. Note: RFCIV systems are applicable to certain air conditioners only.
- Expansion valve systems require a field-installed kit.
Coil Construction (Quantum™ Coil)
- Lennox designed and fabricated coil.
- Features aluminum tubing, hairpins, distributor, and header tubes.
- Ripple-edged aluminum fins enhance air stream contact.
- Lanced fins provide maximum exposure of fin surface to the air stream.
- Rifled tubing offers superior refrigerant heat transfer.
- Twin coil construction assembled in an "A" configuration for large surface area.
- Includes a liquid line seal nut section for expansion valve installation.
- High pressure testing ensures leak-proof construction.
Anti-Microbial Drain Pan
- Non-corrosive, UV-resistant polymer drain pan with dual FPT drain connections.
- Anti-Microbial additive resists mold and mildew growth, improving indoor air quality and reducing drain line blockage.
Universal Piping Patch Plate
- Shipped with the coil for field installation over the liquid and suction lines.
- Plate has a scored line for separation to accommodate different coil configurations.
Refrigerant Line Connections
- Copper refrigerant sweat connections on both liquid and suction lines for easy brazing.
- Refer to dimension drawings for specific locations.
Braze-Free/Press Fitting Flexibility
- Units can accommodate braze-free or press fittings for installation versatility.
Optional Accessories
- Expansion Valve Kits: Available for field installation. Refer to Air Conditioners or Heat Pump Outdoor Units Product Specifications for selection.
Furnace Match-Up
- Coils precisely match corresponding furnaces with the same letter designation in the model number, requiring no adapter.
- Engaging holes are provided for alignment.
- Coils fit furnaces without overhang, but may require an optional adapter base or field-fabricated transition to match the furnace opening.
Optional Accessories
- Adjustable Coil Adaptor/Seal: A telescoping adaptor for quick and easy installation of uncased coils to furnaces. Available in ten-pack kits. See dimension and application drawings for details.

Optional Accessories: Adjustable Uncased Coil Adaptor/Seal
This accessory is designed for uncased coils (C35-18/24A through C35-60C and C35-60D).
Installation Diagram Description:
Illustrates the placement of an uncased coil within a furnace system. Components shown include the PLENUM, ACCESS PANEL, UNCASED COIL, PIPING PATCH PLATE (furnished with coil), and FURNACE. The ADJUSTABLE COIL ADAPTOR/SEAL is positioned between the uncased coil and the furnace opening.
Adaptor/Seal Dimensions:
Front View: Shows the width adjustment range from 14-1/2 inches (368 mm) to 24-7/8 inches (632 mm). The opening height is 9 inches (228 mm) to 19-3/8 inches (492 mm). Other dimensions include 2-3/4 inches (70 mm) and 3/4 inches (19 mm).
Side View: Shows dimensions of 1 inch (25 mm) for thickness and 19-3/4 inches (502 mm) for length and 17-3/4 inches (451 mm) for opening length.
Adaptor/Seal Detail:
The frame telescopes to accommodate various furnace openings. A "Tab" is present, which may be bent up 90 degrees for centering smaller coils.
