Power Requirements

Not all the power outlets are correctly grounded. If you do not know for sure

verify with a qualified electrician. · If the plug destined for the tool is a two-prong (two orifices), FOR NOT

REASON AT ALL REMOVE OR ALTER THE GROUND CONDUCTOR SET IN THE

PLUG. Use a temporary adapter as shown in Figure B and always connect the

ground ring as indicated.

CAUTION When using an extension cable, verify the gauge is enough for the power that your product needs. A lower gauge cable will cause voltage

drop in the line, resulting in power loss and overheating. The following table

shows the right size to use depending on cable's length and the ampere

capability shown in the tool's nameplate. When in doubt use the next higher

gauge.

General power tool safety warnings

WARNING! Read carefully all safety warnings and instructions listed below. Failure to comply with any of these warnings may result in electric shock, fire and / or severe damage. Save all warnings and instructions for future references.

Work area Keep your work area clean, and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.

Remove any wrench or vice before turning the power tool on. Wrenches or vices left attached to rotating parts of the tool may result in personal
injury.

Never use the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Sparks generated by power tools may ignite the flammable material.
Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while operating the tool. Distractions may cause loosing control.
Electrical Safety The tool plug must match the power outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with grounded power tools. Modified plugs and different power outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, electric ranges and refrigerators. The risk of electric shock increases if your body is grounded.
Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions. Water entering into the tool increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not force the cord. Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug the tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using an adequate outdoor extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables a better control on the tool during unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts. Loose clothes or long hair may get caught in moving parts.
If you have dust extraction and recollection devices connected onto the tool, inspect their connections and use them correctly. Using these devices reduce dust-related risks.
Power Tools Use and Care Do not force the tool. Use the adequate tool for your application. The correct tool delivers a better and safer job at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the tool if the switch is not working properly. Any power tool that cannot be turned ON or OFF is dangerous and should be repaired before operating.
Disconnect the tool from the power source and / or battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing. These measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the tool.
Store tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons that are not familiar with the tool or its instructions to operate the tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

If operating the tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Using a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of distraction while operating the tool may result in personal injury.

Service the tool. Check the mobile parts are not misaligned or stuck. There should not be broken parts or other conditions that may affect its operation. Repair any damage before using the tool. Most accidents are caused due to poor maintenance to the tools.

Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as safety glasses, anti-dust mask, non-skid shoes, hard hats and hearing protection used in the right conditions significantly reduce personal injury.

Use the tool, components and accessories in accordance with these instructions and the projected way to use it for the type of tool when in adequate working conditions. Using the tool for applications different from those it was designed for, could
result in a hazardous situation.

Prevent unintentional starting up. Ensure the switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting into the power source and / or battery as well as when carrying the tool. Transporting power tools with the finger on the switch or connecting power tools with the switch in the "ON" position may cause accidents.
This tool is in compliance with the Official Mexican Standard (NOM - Norma Oficial Mexicana).

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Children or people with reduced physical; sensory or mental capabilities shall not operate the tool, neither inexperienced people or without knowledge in the use of the tool, unless supervised by a person responsible of their safety or if receiving previous instructions about the tool operation. Children shall be kept under supervision to double-check they will not play with the tool. Tight supervision shall be used with children or disabled persons to prevent from using or being close to any household tool.

Safety warnings for water pumps

Adequate Use
· The stationary and semi-stationary device is designed to pump clean water at home or garden. To spray or water the lawn, as a fountain or as rainwater pump. Any other use in not adequate. · The device is in compliance with the most updated safety requirements only if is used for its intended use. The device can only be used under the allowed performance restrictions. · The pump cannot be used to pump drinking water or to water vegetables. It is not allowed to pump explosive, combustible or aggressive materials or substances hazardous to health or sewer water. · The device is not adequate for commercial or industrial use. · Inadequate use or modifications to the device, using components unauthorized or not approved by the manufacturer may result in unforeseen damage to the device and the operator and liberates the manufacturer from any legal liability.

CAUTION · Do not subject the device to rain. Do not use the device around wet areas.
WARNING · Do not use the device in areas where there is danger of explosion or near flammable liquids or gases.
WARNING · Do not aim the water jet against the device or other electric components. There is risk of death by an electric shock.
CAUTION ·Double-check the extension cord is not making contact with the water feeding the unit. · Do not install or turn on the unit when people or animals are in the water about to be pumped or they are in contact with water (for example, a swimming pool). · Do not leave the unit unattended. If you need to go away for a long period of time disconnect it. · All repairs shall only be carried out in a
Authorized Service Center. Otherwise you can be exposed to electric shock and makes the warranty void. · The symbols adhered onto the device shall not be removed or be covered. All information about the device that is not legible shall be replaced immediately. · Read and obey the operating instructions before starting to pump.
WARNING · All the cabling, power connections and the ground connection of the system shall comply with the OFFICIAL MEXICAN STANDARD NOM-001-SEDE, ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS (UTILIZATION) or with the local codes or regulations. Use the services of a qualified electrician.

Automatic switch coupling
· Fix the automatic switch control with the coupling nut and tighten by hand. Double-check the seal is in the right position. · Turn the automatic switch control into the required position and tighten the coupling nut.

Installation
· The device shall be set in a horizontal surface that can support the device weight when is filled with water. · To prevent vibration set the device onto an elastic surface (for example, a rubber mat). · The fixing spot shall be well ventilated and protected from wind and rain. · When used in garden ponds or pools the device shall be fixed preventing it to get flooded or fall into the water deposit. · When used inside please assure there is some type of drain in the floor or a water leak prevention system.

Assembly

Connecting the lines
· The suction line shall be set up preventing any mechanical forces or tension onto the pump. · Both lines shall be perfectly sealed. Leaks cause air to escape and stop or reduce the water outlet. Prevent elbows or slopes to prevent air building inside the pipe thus, affecting the pressurizer efficiency. All the connections shall be sealed with twine and thick paste (for metal threads) or with Teflon sealing tape (for synthetic material threads). · A professional shall install all the components in the line.

Suction line connection (Input)
· If the liquid is contaminated you need to use a suction filter to protect the pump against sand and dirt. · Using a check valve (A) is recommended to prevent the suction line to empty when the pump is off. · The line pipe shall have an internal diameter at least 1". It shall be resistant to curves and adequate for using in vacuum. · The line needs to be as short as possible because the pumping cannot keep up with the line increase. · The line shall regularly go up towards the pump to prevent air pockets. · Make sure there is enough water and the end side of the line shall always be inside water.

recommended to make pressurizer

there is vibrations tension and weight will

not affect the pressurizer.

WARNING · The pump is to be filled with water before is on and during the operation. Otherwise it will get irreparably damaged not cover by the Warranty. · After making a new connection and before each time it gets started double -check there is no lost water or air entering both in the pump and in the suction line: 1. Unscrew and remove the purge cap (C). 2. Fill completely with water. 3. Set the purge cap back. Verify the seal is correctly set. 4. If you want to shorten the intake time fill the suction line with water also. (This is only possible it a check valve is installed). 5. Open the pressure line (open the faucet or nozzle) so air can escape while the water in being taken. 6. Start the device. 7. When water is flowing in an even and steady manner shut off the device. · To gain better suction, using a suction filter is recommended.

Start up

Automatic switch
· The switch will automatically start the pump when water is needed (if the pressure line is open water pressure gets reduced below the starting pressure). · The switch automatically turns off the pump when the pressure line is closed (when the pressure of the water increases above the shutdown pressure). · The switch will automatically shut off the pump to protect it when empty after there is no water during more than 10 seconds (for example when there is air in the suction line). In this case press the "Reinicio" (Restart) button after water flow is reestablished in the suction line. · The green "Encendido" (ON) control light is on when the pump starts. · The yellow "Presurizador encendido" (Pressurizer On) control light is on when the pump is working. · The red "Falla" (Failure) control light is on if something is failing and the emergency shut- off is triggered (for example if the pump has no water). · If there is no water in 7 minutes time check the suction line to see if it is leaking. · If the motor is not running or the pump is not getting pressurized or any similar fault turn off the device and try to solve the problem.
WARNING · Do not leave the pump working more than 10 minutes when the line is closed. Making it work longer may overheat and damage the pump.

· Water pressurizer series PRES is built with a thermal protection switch. The pressurizer stops if an overload condition happens. The motor automatically starts again after the motor has cooled down. · To prevent overheating see the Troubleshooting section in page 9. · The power feeding cables and extension cables shall have a wiring below H07-F. The plug and connections shall be protected against water spills.

Maintenance

Cleansing and care
· Keep the ventilation slots clean and free of obstructions at all times to guarantee good motor cooling. · Regularly check all the fixing screws and double-check they are properly fastened. If any screw is loose tighten immediately.
Filter cleansing
· Depending on haw contaminated is the water the filter shall be cleaned regularly.
Service
· Servicing the tools shall only be carried out in a Authorized Service Center.
Maintenance made by non-authorized personnel may be dangerous and can cause personal injury and makes the Warranty void.

Storage
· Whenever there is danger of frost disassemble the device and accessories. Clean and store in a place protected from frost. Otherwise the device will get damaged. 1. Turn off the device. Disconnect the plug. 2. Open the pressure line (open the tap or nozzle). Allow the water to flow out completely. 3. Empty thoroughly thee pump unscrewing the drain cap. 4. Disassemble the suction and pressure lines from the device. 5. Store the device in a frost-free area (at leas 41 °F).

Troubleshooting

Problem
The pump is not working.

Cause
· No power. · Overheating. Water temperature is too high. · Overheating. Obstructed ventilation slots. · FI protecting switch is activated.
· Defective motor.

Solution

· Double-check the cable and fuse.

· Prevent the cause of overheating. Wait for the

water to cool down.

· Remove obstructions from the ventilation

slots.

· Switch on the FI switch. If it fails again contact

· Double-check there is enough water supply.

Not enough pressure. · Leaks in the suction line.
· The pump is over the suction line.

· Air in the pump or suction pipe.
· Changes in the water conditions (sand).
· The suction line is grounded.

· Seal the suction pipe, repair leaks and tighten

all the connections.

· Set the pump not higher than 26,2 ft above the

water container. See page 3.

· Clean or replace filter.

· Clean or replace valve.

· Go to a

· Clean the pump with clear water and remove

any obstructions there are.

· Fill the pump receptacle with water

Solución de problemas

Problema
La bomba no funciona.
La tasa de flujo es baja. No hay suficiente presión.

Causa
· No hay corriente eléctrica. · Sobrecalentamiento. La temperatura del agua es muy alta. · Sobrecalentamiento. Ranuras de ventilación obstruidas. · Interruptor de protección FI activado.
· Motor defectuoso.

Solución

· Revise el cable, la clavija y el fusible.

· Evite la causa del calentamiento, espere a que

el agua se enfríe.

· Limpie y retire cualquier obstrucción de las

ranuras de ventilación.

· Presione el botón de "reinicio". Si el problema

persiste acuda a un Centro de Servicio

Puesta en marcha

Interruptor automático
· El interruptor automático enciende automáticamente la bomba cuando se necesita el agua (si la línea de presión está abierta, se reduce la presión del agua por debajo de la presión de arranque). · El interruptor automático apaga automáticamente la bomba cuando la línea de presión se cierra (cuando la presión de agua aumenta por sobre la presión de apagado). · El interruptor automático apaga automáticamente la bomba para protegerla de quedar vacía cuando no se suministra agua por más de 10 segundos (por ejemplo, cuando hay aire en la línea de succión). En este caso, presione el botón de "Reinicio" después de reestablecer el flujo del agua de la línea de succión. · Luz de control verde "Encendido" enciende cuando el equipo está conectado a la alimentación. · Luz de control amarilla "Presurizador encendido" enciende cuando la bomba está funcionando. · Luz de control roja "Falla" enciende si ocurre una falla y se dispara el apagado de emergencia (por ejemplo, si la bomba se queda sin agua). · En caso que no salga agua en 7 minutos, revise la línea de succión para ver si tiene una fuga. · En caso que el motor no arranque o la bomba no haga presión o que suceda alguna falla similar, apague el dispositivo y trate de solucionar el problema.
ADVERTENCIA · No permita que la bomba trabaje más de 10 minutos cuando la línea esté cerrada. Dejarla funcionar por más tiempo puede sobrecalentar y dañar la bomba.

· Los presurizadores de agua de la serie PRES tienen incluido un interruptor de protección térmica. El presurizador se detiene si ocurre una condición de sobrecarga. El motor arranca nuevamente de manera automática después de que el motor se ha enfriado. · Para evitar sobrecalentamientos consulte la sección de solución de problemas en la página 9. · Los cables de alimentación y extensiones no deben tener un cableado por debajo de lo indicado en los requerimentos eléctricos de la página 3. Mantenimiento

Limpieza y cuidados
· Siempre mantenga las ventilas limpias y libres de obstrucciones para garantizar un enfriamiento adecuado del motor. · Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos de montaje y asegúrese de que estén apretados correctamente. En caso de que alguno de los tornillos esté suelto, apriételo inmediatamente.
Limpieza del filtro
· El filtro se debe limpiar con regularidad, dependiendo de la contaminación que tenga el suministro de agua.
Servicio
· El servicio de las herramientas debe ser realizado únicamente en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
. El servicio y mantenimiento realizado por personas no calificadas puede resultar peligroso y llegar a ocasionar daños personales además de invalidar la garantía del producto.

Almacenaje
· En caso que exista peligro de helada, desarme el dispositivo y los accesorios, limpie y almacene en un sitio protegido de la helada. De lo contrario el dispositivo podría dañarse. 1. Apague el dispositivo, desconecte la clavija. 2. Abra la línea de presión (abra el grifo o la boquilla), permita que el agua salga por completo. 3. Vacíe por completo la bomba desatornillando el tapón de drenaje. 4. Desarme las líneas de succión y de presión del dispositivo. 5. Almacene el dispositivo en un espacio libre de heladas (por lo menos 5 °C ).

Instalación

Conexión de las líneas
· Las líneas de succión y presión se deben instalar de tal forma que no ejerzan ninguna fuerza mecánica o tensión en la bomba. · Ambas líneas deben estar perfectamente selladas. Las fugas ocasionan escape de aire e impiden o reducen la salida de agua. Evite en lo posible codos y pendientes para prevenir la formación de aire que pueda afectar la eficiencia del presurizador. Se deben sellar todas las conexiones con cáñamo y pasta gruesa (para roscas de metal) o con cinta selladora de teflón (para roscas de material sintético). · Todos los componentes de las líneas deben ser instaladas por un profesional.

Conexión de la línea de succión (entrada)
· Si el líquido está contaminado, se debe utilizar un filtro de succión para proteger la bomba de arena y suciedad. · Se recomienda usar una válvula check (A) para que no se vacíe la línea de succión cuando se apaga la bomba. · El tubo de la línea debe tener un diámetro interno de por lo menos 25 mm Debe ser resistente a las curvas y adecuada para uso en vacío. · La línea debe ser tan corta como sea posible, ya que la capacidad de succión baja a la par con el aumento de la línea. · La línea debe ascender regularmente hacia la bomba. Para prevenir las bolsas de aire. · Se debe asegurar que haya suficiente agua y el extremo final de la línea debe estar siempre dentro del agua.

· Se recomienda usar una válvula de compuerta o globo (B) para facilitar las operaciones de mantenimiento del presurizador. · La tubería de la línea debe ser fijada para que cuando existan vibraciones, la tensión y el peso no afecten el presurizador.

ADVERTENCIA · La bomba debe de estar llena de agua antes de ser encendida y durante su operación, de lo contrario sufriría un daño no cubierto por la garantía.
· Después de realizar una nueva conexión y antes de cada encendido revise que no haya pérdida de agua o entrada de aire tanto en la bomba como en la línea de succión: 1. Desatornille y retire el tapón de purga (C). 2. Llene con agua por completo. 3. Vuelva a colocar el tapón de purga, verifique la correcta colocación del sello. 4. Si desea acortar el tiempo de toma, llene de agua la línea de succión también (ésto sólo es posible si ha instalado una válvula check). 5. Abra la línea de presión (abra el grifo o la boquilla) para que el aire pueda escapar durante la toma de agua. 6. Encienda el dispositivo. 7. Cuando el agua salga pareja, constante, cierre el grifo o la boquilla de la línea de presión. · Para obtener mejor succión se recomienda el uso de un filtro de succión.

Instalación del control del interruptor automático
· Fije el control del interruptor automático con la tuerca de acople y apriétela a mano. Verifique que el sello esté en su posición correcta. · Gire el control del interruptor automático a la posición requerida y apriete la tuerca de acople.

Instalación
· El dispositivo debe colocarse en una superficie horizontal que soporte el peso del dispositivo cuando esté lleno de agua. · Para prevenir vibraciones, coloque el dispositivo sobre una base elástica (por ejemplo una alfombrilla de hule). · El sitio de instalación debe estar bien ventilado y protegido del viento y la lluvia. · Cuando se utiliza en estanques de jardín o albercas se debe instalar el dispositivo de tal forma que no se inunde o caiga al depósito con agua. · Cuando se opere en interiores se debe asegurar que exista drenaje en el piso o algún mecanismo de prevención de fugas de agua.

Advertencias de Seguridad para uso de presurizadores de agua

Usos adecuados
· El dispositivo estacionario y semi-estacionario está diseñado para bombear agua limpia en casa y jardín. Para rociar o regar agua, como fuente y como bomba de agua de lluvia. Cualquier otro tipo de uso es inadecuado. · El dispositivo cumple con los requerimientos más actuales en seguridad siempre y cuando se le de el uso para el que fue diseñado. El dispositivo solamente puede ser utilizado bajo las restricciones de desempeño permitidas. · No se debe utilizar para bombear agua potable ni para regar comestibles. No se deben bombear explosivos, combustibles o materiales agresivos ni substancias dañinas a la salud o aguas negras. · El dispositivo no es adecuado para uso comercial ni industrial. · El uso inadecuado o las modificaciones al dispositivo, el uso de componentes que no han sido probados y aprobados por el fabricante, pueden tener como resultado daños imprevistos al dispositivo y al operador, y libera al fabricante de su responsabilidad legal.

ATENCIÓN · No someta el dispositivo a la lluvia.

No utilice el dispositivo alrededor de áreas mojadas.

ADVERTENCIA · No utilice el dispositivo en áreas

donde exista el peligro de explosión o cerca de líquidos

combustibles o gases.

ADVERTENCIA · No dirija el chorro de agua contra

el dispositivo u otros componentes eléctricos. Existe

peligro de muerte debido a una descarga eléctrica.

ATENCIÓN · Asegúrese de que el cable de

extensión no haga contacto con el agua que alimenta la

unidad.

· No instale ni encienda la unidad cuando haya personas o

animales dentro del agua que se va a bombear (por

ejemplo una alberca) o que tengan contacto con ella.

· No deje la unidad desatendida. Si la tiene que dejar por

un periódo largo, desconéctela.

· Cualquier reparación debe hacerse únicamente por un

contrario se expone a un choque eléctrico e invalida la

garantía.

· Los símbolos adheridos al dispositivo no deben retirarse

ni cubrirse. Toda información sobre el dispositivo que ya

no sea legible, debe ser reemplazada de inmediato.

· Lea y obedezca las instrucciones de operación antes de

bombear.

ADVERTENCIA · Todo el cableado, las conexiones

eléctricas y la conexión a tierra del sistema deben cumplir

con la NORMA OFICIAL MEXICANA NOM-001-SEDE,

INSTALACIONES ELÉCTRICAS (UTILIZACIÓN) o con los

códigos y ordenanzas locales. Deben emplear un

electricista calificado.

Es recomendable que la bomba se alimente con un

circuito que incluya un interruptor diferencial con una

corriente asignada no mayor a 30 mA

Advertencias generales de seguridad para herramientas eléctricas

¡ADVERTENCIA! Lea detenidamente todas las advertencias de seguridad y todas las instrucciones que se enlistan a continuación. La omisión de alguna de ellas puede dar como resultado un choque eléctrico, incendio y/o daño serio. Conserve las advertencias y las instrucciones para futuras referencias.

Área de trabajo Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien iluminada. Las áreas desordenadas y obscuras son propensas a accidentes.

No sobrepase su campo de acción. Mantenga ambos pies bien asentados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en todo momento.

No maneje la herramienta en ambientes explosivos, como en presencia de líquido, gas o polvo inflamables. Las herramientas eléctricas producen chispas que pueden encender
material inflamable.

Esto permite un mejor control de la herramienta en situaciones inesperadas. Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes alejados de las piezas en movimiento.

Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, cocinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un mayor riesgo de choque eléctrico si el cuerpo está puesto a tierra.
