AOPEN Smart Remote Guideline
To use the AOPEN Smart Remote app, follow these steps:
- Connect the AOPEN smart device and your smartphone to the same network.
- Open "AOPEN Quick Settings" on your phone and check the IP address.
- Enter the IP address of the AOPEN smart device into the connection window on your phone and select "PAIR".
- Once the connection is successful, the control panel will be available for use.
A QR code is provided for quick access to the AOPEN Smart Remote app.
Basic Functions:
- ? Mute: Mute audio.
- ?⬆️ Volume Up: Increase volume.
- ?⬇️ Volume Down: Decrease volume.

- ↩️ Back: Go back to the previous page.
- ? Home: Return to the launcher home page.
- ⌨️ Keyboard: Access the on-screen keyboard.

Control Panel Gestures:
- Swipe on the navigation control panel: Control the focused item.
- Swipe on the mouse control panel: Control the mouse cursor.
- 3D mouse control: Hold the smartphone and move it to control the mouse cursor.
- Tap on control panel: Select or Click an item.
- Long press on the control panel: Show shortcut keys (including Home and Back keys).

Control Modes:

Home page overview
After initial setup, the media center Home page opens. It displays system time, Wi-Fi status, and Bluetooth status.
The Home page features app shortcuts, Android settings, File manager, Wireless display, and a list of all apps.
The Aptoide app is accessible as a shortcut.
Navigating the AOPEN Smart Projector Home page:
Items on the Home page can be accessed using the remote control, a Bluetooth mouse, or the AOPEN smart remote app.
Note:
- The projector keypad supports media center functions depending on the model.
- File management supports reading USB drives, depending on the model.
Remote control navigation:
- Press ? HOME to access the Home page from any other page.
- Press the four-direction navigation buttons (⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️) to select items.
- Press ✅ OK to confirm selection, open an item, or play/pause media.
- Press ↩️ BACK to move to the previous page or exit an app.
- Press ?️ MOUSE to switch the remote control to mouse mode.
Bluetooth mouse navigation:
- Hover the cursor over an item and left-click to open it.
- Right-click to exit a menu or app.
- Right-click repeatedly to access the Home page.
Configure system settings
To configure Android system settings, click "Setting" ⚙️ on the Home page.

Network & Internet
Note: Before configuring network settings, ensure the Wi-Fi dongle is connected to the USB port on the rear of the projector.
To connect the projector to an available Wi-Fi network:
- Slide the Wi-Fi ? switch from Off to On.
- Select your preferred access point from the Wi-Fi list and click on it to connect.

Note: If the selected Wi-Fi network is secured, you will be prompted to enter a password.
Note: In the Network & Internet menu, you can also view Wi-Fi data usage, add Virtual Private Network (VPN), and configure Private DNS mode settings.
Set your device name
Change your device name when casting.
Apps
View recently opened apps, configure app notifications, permissions, uninstall apps, and access settings.
Device preferences
Access common settings and information about the device, such as "About", "Date & time", "Language", "Keyboard", "Storage", "Location", "Security & restrictions", "Accessibility", and "Reboot".

Remotes & Accessories
Manage accessories via Bluetooth ? connection.
Note: Please ensure your devices are in pairing mode before pairing.

Aptoide app
Aptoide app is a pre-loaded app store that allows you to install and discover apps easily in a safe environment. Access games, streaming apps, configure Aptoide settings, and more.
Note:
- To use Aptoide app, ensure the projector is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- Apps not pre-loaded by AOPEN may not be compatible or work properly.
- Some apps may require a keyboard and mouse.
- Some apps may be region-specific.
- Users can install third-party apps via .apk files in File Management. However, some third-party apps may have compatibility issues.
- For better compatibility with Aptoide, it is recommended not to update the Aptoide app version.

Accessing apps
You can access apps directly from the Home page or from the APP List.
To view and access all default apps, click "APP List" ? on the Home page.

Click directly on an app icon to open the app.
To add app shortcuts to the Home page for quick access:
- Click an app icon and check up to two apps to add them as shortcuts.
- Click "Add APP" ➕ and "Back" ↩️ on the Home page to add up to two apps as shortcuts.
