Top Panel
- [Control 1] Alarm: Controls alarm settings and volume up.

Setup & Operation
Antenna Setup
Before setup, ensure the [Wire Antenna] (17) is fully unwound.
Auto Clock Setting
Once the Sunrise is powered on and the antenna is extended, the clock will set automatically after a short period.
Changing Operating Language
Navigate to the System menu, select 'Language', and choose your preferred language (English, Deutsch, Italiano, Français).
Preset Stations (DAB/FM)
To save the currently playing station to one of the Preset Keys (1, 2, or 3), press and hold the desired key. Any previously saved station on that key will be overwritten. To play a saved station, briefly press the key.
For presets 4-30, use the [Preset Recall] and [Preset Store] options within the DAB menu.
DAB Radio Operation
The device supports DAB auto-scanning and manual tuning. Use the [SCAN] button to scan for stations. The station list will display available DAB stations.
FM Radio Operation
Supports FM auto-scanning and manual tuning. Use [SCAN] for auto-scanning or manual tuning to find stations. Fine-tune FM stations using the +/- 5MHz adjustment.
Advanced Features
DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Dynamic Range Control helps make quieter sounds easier to hear in noisy environments. This function is available for some DAB stations. Select 'high', 'low', or 'off'. The selected option will be marked with an asterisk (*).
Prune Function
Setting the 'Prune' function to 'Yes' will clear stations with no signal reception from the DAB 'Station list' the next time a 'Full scan' is performed.
System Menu
Access the System menu to manage settings:
- Time: Should set automatically. Use this menu to set time manually if required.
- Language: Change the device's operating language.
- Factory Reset: Clears all settings, station lists, and presets.
- SW Version: Displays the current software version.
Alarm Settings
Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2)
Navigate through the 'Alarm 1 Setup' or 'Alarm 2 Setup' wizard to configure:
- On time: Set the desired alarm time.
- Duration: Set the alarm duration (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes).
- Source: Choose the alarm sound source (Buzzer, DAB, or FM).
- Period: Select when the alarm should activate (Daily, Once, Weekends, Weekdays).
- Volume: Adjust the alarm volume.
- On/Off: Enable or disable the alarm.
The device can be set to activate Alarm 1, Alarm 2, or both.
Alarm Stop & Snooze
Press the [Stop] button to turn off the alarm. Press the [Snooze] button to activate the snooze function, which will silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes.
Alarm Volume Adjustment
The alarm volume can be adjusted from 0 to 8.
Dimmer Control
Adjust the LCD display brightness using the [SLEEP/DIMMER] button, cycling through 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, and OFF.
Sleep Mode
Set a sleep timer to automatically switch the radio to standby after a selected duration:
- Sleep Off
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 45 minutes
- 60 minutes
- 90 minutes
When the selected time elapses, the radio switches to standby mode.
USB Charging & Backup Batteries
USB Charging Port
The [USB Port] (14) on the back panel can be used to charge external devices, supporting up to 5V 1A.
Backup Batteries
The i-box Sunrise features a backup battery function. Insert 2x AAA batteries (not supplied) into the [Battery Compartment] on the underside of the unit. This allows the device to save time and alarm settings if unplugged or if the main power is cut.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
Sunrise does not turn on | Check power adapter is connected to the alarm and mains. Check mains is switched on. |
No sound | Turn up the volume of the speaker. Check the radio has not been set to Sleep mode. |
No LCD display | Check the dimmer is not set to OFF. |
