1. Connect to the Power Supply
Connect your device to the mains power using the provided connector and a suitable socket (e.g., power plug, power cord, or power supply unit). The status LED will initially shine constantly red.
2. Connect to the TCP/IP Network
Connect your device to your network by plugging an Ethernet cable into the network connector. The device will automatically search for a DHCP server to request an IP address. Check your network's DHCP server settings to identify the assigned IP address. For consistent access, ensure the same IP address is assigned on each restart. Upon successful connection, the status LED will briefly flash orange and then turn permanently green, indicating the unit is connected and ready for operation.
3. Set Up and Use Functions
The web interface serves as the central control panel for your device. You can access it from any PC within the same TCP/IP network.
Accessing the Web Interface
To access the web interface:
- Open a web browser on a PC connected to the same network.
- Enter the following address into the browser's address bar:
https://[device IP address]/
(The default IP address is192.168.0.2
). - Log in.
Through the web interface, you can:
- Configure all device settings.
- Utilize all device features, such as switching power outlets or retrieving sensor values.
Using the GBL_Conf Program
If the unit cannot be found at the specified IP address, use the GBL_Conf configuration program. This program allows you to:
- View all IP-capable GUDE products on your network.
- Configure all network and security settings.
- Restore devices to their default factory settings.
Note on Fig. 1 (Web Interface): The web interface displays controls for power ports (on/off, wait, reset, batch, close, all on/off) and operational status. It also provides real-time measurements including Voltage, Current, Frequency, Power, Residual Current, Energy, Temperature, Humidity, Dew Point, and Pressure.
4. Set Up and Use Functions with the Configuration Program
Download the latest version of the GBL_Conf program from gude-systems.com/en/general-support
. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
After successful installation:
- Open GBL_Conf. All devices found on the network will be displayed in the top-left window.
- Double-click the name of the device you wish to configure. This will automatically redirect you to the device's web interface in your web browser.
Note on Fig. 2 (GBL_Conf Program): The GBL_Conf program lists detected GUDE devices and their basic information. Selecting a device reveals its network configuration details, such as MAC Address, Netmask, IP Address, and Gateway.
5. Firmware Updates
It is recommended to always run the latest firmware on your GUDE unit. Firmware updates are available for download on the website gude-systems.com/en/general-support
