Foreword

Welcome to Nite Bird. This user guide provides important information about the Nite Bird Wi-Fi Smart Bulb. It is recommended to read this guide before installing the bulb. For any questions, please contact NiteBirdService@gmail.com. The customer service team will respond as soon as possible.

Product Structure

The Nite Bird Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb consists of the following components:

LED SMART BULB Specifications

Install the Light Bulb

1. Disconnect the power supply before installation.
2. The light will be white when switched on after successful installation.
3. Note: The cap type of the Light bulb is E27.

Download "Gosund" APP

1. Search for the "Gosund" App on the App Store or Google Play and install it.

2. Open the "Gosund" App. Click 'register' and enter your email address to automatically create an account, or enter your phone number to get a verification code to register an account. If you already have a "Gosund" account, click 'login' with your account.

3. The free "Gosund" App is compatible with mobile devices supporting iOS 8.0 and above, and Android 4.4 and above.

Connecting the device with "Gosund" APP

A. Easy Mode (Recommended)

1. Open the "Gosund" App. Tap "Add Device" or the "+" [add] sign at the upper right corner of the page and select "Smart Lighting".
2. Ensure the Nite Bird Smart Light bulb is installed correctly.
3. To get the light to flash rapidly: Follow these 3 steps.
• Step 1/3: Power on the device. Power off after 10 seconds and then power on again.
• Step 2/3: Turn the light switch on-off-on-off-on. Keep the time interval between switches not too short, and turn off after the light is on.
• Step 3/3: Confirm the light bulb is now rapidly flashing (approximately 2 times per second).
4. Make sure the light bulb is rapidly flashing and confirm it in the app.
5. Choose your Home Wi-Fi network (ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel, not 5GHz) and enter the correct password. If the Wi-Fi network is 5GHz or the password is incorrect, it may lead to "connection failure".
6. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap "OK".
7. Wait for the device to be successfully configured, then tap "Completed". The app will show a "Connecting" screen with a progress indicator (e.g., 18%).

B. AP Mode

Switch to "AP Mode" if the connection fails in "Easy Mode".

1. The AP mode option is located at the upper right corner of the "Add device" page.

2. Four steps to get the light to flash slowly:

• Step 1/4: Power on the device. Power off after 10 seconds and then power on again.
• Step 2/4: Turn the light switch on-off-on-off-on. Keep the time interval not too short, and turn off after the light is on.
• Step 3/4: Confirm the light bulb is now rapidly flashing, then proceed to the next step.
• Step 4/4: Operate again: Turn on-off-on-off-on until the light is slowly flashing (approximately 1 time every 3 seconds).

3. Choose your home Wi-Fi and enter the correct password, then confirm it in the APP.

4. Tap "Connect Now". Choose the Wi-Fi hotspot named "Smart Life XXX". If a message appears stating "the current WLAN network cannot access the Internet. Switch to another network?", tap "CANCEL" and go back to the "Gosund APP".

5. Finally, wait for successful configuration and tap "Completed".

Note: If the connection fails in "AP Mode", check if your router is dual-band Wi-Fi. If it is, enter the router management interface to split the 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi, and then connect to the 2.4G Wi-Fi.

Getting to know "Gosund" APP

A. Functions of Devices

You can add listed devices by tapping the "+" [add] sign at the top right corner of the home page.

1. Switch: Remote Control

This function allows you to remotely control single or group lights to set brightness, warmth, or color via your smartphone, even when you are away on vacation.

2. Timer Schedule

Set lights to turn on/off at specific times. This is convenient for nighttime or when arriving/leaving home or office. Schedules can be repeated daily or weekly.

3. Statistics

View real-time energy consumption of your device to help manage energy bills effectively.

B. Scenes

1. Tap the top right icon to create custom characteristics for the device.
2. Change the device name and control it via third-party devices such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
3. Share the device with family members or create a group for easier control of your devices at home.
4. 16 million colors are available.

Eight scenes are available for your choice: Night, Read, Meeting, and Leisure mode. Four additional scenes can be randomly created based on your preference. Saturation and brightness are adjustable to suit your mood.

Using Amazon Echo Quick Guide

What You'll Need...

Ensure your Echo dot is connected to your Amazon Alexa and you have a "Gosund" APP account.

A. Enable our Skill in Alexa APP

1. Log in to your Amazon Alexa account.

2. Choose "Skill" from the option bar.

3. Search for "Gosund" in the search bar.

4. Select "Gosund" from the search results and click "Enable".

5. Input your account and password registered with the "Gosund" APP. Successful setup indicates your Alexa account is linked with your "Gosund" account.

B. Control Smart Bulb by Voice

After Alexa is linked to your "Gosund" APP, you can control the bulb via Echo.

1. Discovering device: Simply say to Echo: "Echo (or Alexa), discover my device." Alternatively, choose "Add device" to discover the smart bulb. Echo will search for devices added in the "Gosund" APP. This process takes about 20 seconds. You can also click "Discover device" on the Alexa APP to show available devices.

Note: Echo is one of the wake-up names; the other two are Alexa and Amazon.

Support Skill List: You can control devices using commands like:

• "Alexa, turn on/off (name of the smart bulb)"
• "Alexa, turn on the light."
• "Alexa, turn off the light."

Note: The device name must be consistent with the name in the "Gosund" APP. It is recommended to use easy-to-pronounce English words for the device name. (Amazon Echo currently supports English temporarily.)
