The Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system mylife Loop, which includes the mylife CamAPS FX app, the mylife YpsoPump insulin pump, and the FreeStyle Libre 3 or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) sensor, is now available on iPhones. Compatibility of the mylife CamAPS FX on iPhones with the Dexcom G6 CGM system will follow.

Smartphone-based therapy management represents the future of diabetes treatment. Ypsomed is extending the freedom of choice for people with type 1 diabetes, allowing them to choose between iOS or Android operating systems for the mylife CamAPS FX app. Previously only available for Android phones, the app is now accessible for iPhone users, enabling more individuals to benefit from this technology entirely via their smartphone.

What to do if switching from Android to iOS?

If you are switching from the Android version of the mylife CamAPS FX app to the iOS version, keep the following information in mind:

Plan your switch carefully

Plan your switch to ensure all important information is secured, the transition is as smooth as possible, and your therapy remains uninterrupted. For questions or support, contact your local Ypsomed Customer Service.

Backup your data

To prevent data loss, generate and save a PDF report of your historical data before switching from the Android to the iOS app. This report will help you and your diabetes team maintain a clear overview of your settings, such as bolus calculator settings, total daily dose, and personal glucose target. Use this PDF report to complete the setup of the mylife CamAPS FX app on iOS.

Re-learning of the algorithm

You can log in with the same mylife CamAPS FX account for both iPhones and Android smartphones. The mylife CamAPS FX algorithm will need to re-learn your individual insulin requirements and patterns from your data. This process may take a few days to fully adapt the insulin delivery to your needs.

After setting up the iOS version, delete the mylife YpsoPump from the Bluetooth® settings on your Android smartphone and delete the mylife CamAPS FX app from your Android smartphone.

iOS specific information and available features

The mylife CamAPS FX app brings its trusted features to iOS, offering a smart and convenient way to manage type 1 diabetes, seamlessly designed for flexibility and control.

• The mylife CamAPS FX app on iPhones is compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 3 or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus CGM sensor. Compatibility with the Dexcom G6 CGM system will follow.
• The app provides options for remote monitoring and data sharing with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) or your "companions".
• The Companion feature allows "companions" to monitor glucose values and insulin data on their Android smartphone. Note: The mylife CamAPS FX user can use iOS or Android, but the Companion requires an Android smartphone.
• Share your glucose and insulin data via Glooko®, ensuring seamless collaboration with your diabetes team. Integration of the mylife Cloud will follow for the iOS version.
• On iOS, there is no SMS "Follower" function available.
• All other features mirror those of the Android version, providing a reliable, easy-to-use solution for personalized diabetes management.
