Programme guide:
Programme option buttons
Depending on the programme, different functions can be combined. These must be selected after choosing the desired programme and before depressing the Start/Pause button. When these buttons are pressed, the corresponding pilot lights come on. When they are pressed again, the pilot lights go out. If an incorrect option is selected, the corresponding pilot light flashes for about 2 seconds.
1. Spin reduction/rinse hold button
By depressing this button the final and the intermediate spin speeds can be reduced or the rinse hold option can be selected.
Spin reduction: by selecting this option the speed will be reduced as follows:
- Cotton: from 1200 to 550rpm
- Synthetics and wool: from 900 to 450rpm
- Delicates: from 700 to 450 rpm
Rinse hold: by selecting this option the water of the last rinse is not emptied out, to prevent the fabrics from creasing.
At the end of the programme the pilot light End illuminates. To drain the water, proceed as follows:
- Turn the programme selector dial to position 0.
- Select programme ? (drain) or ? (spin).
- Press the Start/Pause button.
2. Prewash button
Select this option if you wish your laundry to be prewashed before the main wash (not available for wool). The prewash ends with a short spin in programmes for cotton and synthetic fabrics, whereas in the programme for delicate fabrics the water is only drained.
3. Super rinse button
Can be used with all programmes, except wool. The machine will add 2 rinses to the selected programme.
4. Half load button
Select this button to reduce water consumption on the rinse cycle when washing a smaller load of cottons or linens. The machine will perform 2 rinses instead of 3.
5. Start/Pause button
After having selected the required programme, press this button to start the machine; the corresponding pilot light stops flashing and illuminates continuously.
To interrupt a programme which is running, depress the Start/Pause button: the corresponding pilot light starts to flash.
To restart the programme from the point at which it was interrupted, press the Start/Pause button again.
6. Programme progress display
By selecting the wash programme, the pilot lights corresponding to the various phases making up the programme come on.
The following lights indicate the programme phase:
- Washing
- Rinses
- Spinning
- Drain
- End
After the machine has started, only the running phase pilot light stays on. The End pilot light flashes in the event of opening problems:
- 4 flashes = the door has not been closed
- 2 flashes = the machine does not empty
- 1 flash = the machine does not fill
The End pilot light comes on when the programme is finished and indicates that the door can be opened.
7. Programme selector dial
The selector dial can be turned either clockwise or anticlockwise. Position 0 corresponds to Reset programme/Switching OFF of the machine.

Interrupting a programme
Depress the Start/Pause button to interrupt a programme which is running, the corresponding light starts to flash. Depress the button again to restart the programme.
Cancelling a programme
Turn the selector dial to O to cancel a programme which is running and select a new programme.
Opening the door after the programme has started
First set the machine to pause by pressing the Start/Pause button. Wait 2 or 3 minutes for the door lock to be released.
If the machine is already heating, or the water level is above the bottom edge of the door or the drum is turning, it means that the door cannot be opened.
If it is necessary to open the door, turn the selector dial to O and after about 2 minutes the door can be opened (pay attention to the water level and temperature).
At the end of the programme the machine stops automatically. If the rinse hold option has been selected the phase light End is on to indicate that the water must be emptied out before opening the door.
To do this first turn the programme selector dial to O and then to either the ? (drain) or ? (spin) programme. Release of the lock is indicated by the illumination of the End light. Turn the programme selector dial to O to switch the machine off.
