1. Instruction
In order to avoid equipment damage caused by improper operation, please read this user manual before using. It will show you the use safety of the equipment and warranty terms.
2. Safety Information
⚠️ Warning: Unplug the power cable of the device during lightning weather.
⚠️ Warning: When the device is not used for a long time, pay attention to moisture-proof. It is recommended that it be powered up 3 hours a week.
Caution:
- Equipment power: Power supply must be within the range AC100V-240V~50Hz-60Hz.
- Equipment power consumption: 35W
- Power core protection: Properly wiring, avoid trampling or heavy objects squeeze.
- Maintenance: All repairs must be carried out by certified maintenance personnel. Do not try to open the device to avoid the danger of electric shock.
- Vent: The devices have air vents or holes in their shells to prevent overheating of sensitive components. Do not block the vent with anything.
Power Related Content:
- Please make sure that the plug is tightly plugged and the cable is tightly connected, otherwise it may cause failure.
- Do not use a loose power socket or damaged power cord, otherwise it may cause electric shock or fire.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands under any circumstances, otherwise there is danger of electric shock.
- Do not plug multiple devices into one socket, otherwise it may cause fire.
- Do not press heavy objects on the power cord to prevent bending, pulling, or winding of the power cord.

3. Product Introduction
This device is a high-performance digital audio processor with a sampling rate of 96KHz. Audio processing is performed by 32-bit ADC and 24-bit DAC and high-speed DSP processing. It supports up to 16 band EQ for each input and output channel, along with HPF and LPF, FIR filter, all-pass filter, port input, noise gate, gain control, input compressor, output limiter, scene preset, and delay for each channel. Powerful functions include adjustable delay up to 2000ms, and it is equipped with a network port, USB port, and RS-232 for quick configuration and debugging. This equipment performs a series of optimizations and adjustments for high-quality sound reinforcement systems.
4. Product Characteristics
- 32-bit DSP processing, 96KHz sampling rate, 32-bit ADC and 24-bit DAC.
- The input processing includes: port input, AES/EBU input, noise gate, gain control, mute, phase, 16-band EQ, Xover, input compressor, 2000ms input adjustable delay, linkage adjustment, and other processing functions.
- The output processing includes: FIR filter, 16-band EQ, 2000ms adjustable output delay, gain control, mute, phase, Xover, output limit, port output, AES/EBU output (only for FD4800FIR), linkage adjustment, and other processing functions.
- All inputs and outputs channels can be freely routed, and the name of each input and output channel can be changed.
- All input and output channels have independent phase curve adjustment function.
- Parameter settings between any channels can be freely copied, and any channel can be linked for adjustment.
- All input and output channels can perform auto EQ by importing channel parameters.
- There are six types of equalization: peaking, notch, all pass 1st, all pass 2nd, high shelf, and low shelf.
- All input and output channels have HPF and LPF with types: Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz-Riley, with optional slopes from 6/12/18/24/30/36/42/48 dB/Oct.
- All input compressors have adjustable thresholds, ratios, start-up time, recovery time, and compensation gain.
- All output limiters include adjustable threshold and recovery time, with a brick wall type limiter, starting time of 0, and absolute limit.
- The delay for all input and output channels is up to 2000ms.
- Built-in signal generator allows input mode selection of pink noise, white noise, sweep frequency, and 20Hz-20KHz sine wave, with adjustable signal amplitude.
- The front panel features a USB control port for serial port connection, input and output level indicators, and function buttons. The rear panel includes an RS232 control port and a 100M network port. One-button connection makes user operation easier and faster.
- Supports saving 128 preset scenes, with device scene algorithm and each preset savable and loadable separately. It also includes a permission management function for enhanced security.
- Applications include professional performances, bars, and conference rooms.

6. Front Panel Introduction
The front panel displays the DIGIRUSS logo, model name "DAP 36AE", and various controls and indicators. Numbered indicators (1-6) point to specific elements:
- 1. COM2: USB control port for connecting to a computer to control the audio processor software. A serial port "COMx" will be added when the device connects to the computer.
- 2. Audio Function Controls: Buttons or controls for Gain, Gate, Xover, PEQ, Delay, Matrix, Input Compressor, Output Limiter, All Mute, Copy, Save, Recall, Setup.
- 3. LCD Screen: Displays the current scene, CPU utilization, IP address, and running time.
- 4. DataWheel: Used for data adjustment and confirmation.
- 5. Input Level Indicator Light: Indicates input signal level for each channel. Below these are auxiliary buttons and mute switches.
- 6. Output Level Indicator Light: Indicates output signal level for each channel. Below these are auxiliary buttons and mute switches.
7. Rear Panel Introduction
The rear panel features various input/output connectors and power controls. Numbered indicators (1-7) point to specific elements:
- 1. Power Supply: AC input socket supporting 100V-240V~50-60Hz. Use the standard power cable and a grounded power outlet.
- 2. Power Switch: Main power on/off switch.
- 3. RS232 Interface: For connecting with third-party central control systems.
- 4. Ethernet Interface: For connecting to a switch using standard Ethernet or directly to a laptop.
- 5. Restore Factory Configuration: A RESET button. Pressing and holding it while powering on until the screen connects will restore factory configuration and restart the device. This action only restores IP address, username, and password.
- 6. Neutrik Audio Output Interface: Channel 1~8: Male-XLR connectors for audio output. Pin 1 is ground, pin 2 is positive, and pin 3 is negative for balanced audio input.
- 7. Neutrik Audio Input Interface: Channel 1~4: Female-XLR connectors for audio input. Pin 1 is ground, pin 2 is positive, and pin 3 is negative for balanced audio input.

9. Software Running Environment
Operating system request: Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.
Network environment: 100m LAN or wireless router.
10. Connection
10.1 Connection of digital audio processor:
- Connect computer through the rear panel TCP Ethernet interface.
- Connect computer through the front panel USB interface (FT-4800).
10.2 Network cable connection method:
Connect with computer by Ethernet cable directly or via LAN. The device IP address must be on the same LAN and network segment as the computer's IP address.
10.3 Device IP address:
The default factory IP address of the device is "192.168.20.20".
10.4 Add device IP used for connection to the computer:
After finishing the processor and computer cable connection, open the software:
- Click “NET”
- Input processor IP address
- Click “Add IP for connecting device”
- Click “OK”

10.5 The software connection:
Open the software and add a device:
- Navigate: Device List > Search > Select the device > Add.
- After adding the device, select it, double-click to modify device information.
- Click OK, return to the device list bar, select the device, and click login.
When modifying device information, the following settings are available:
- 1. Local alias: Rename the local alias as needed.
- 2. Device type: Select the corresponding device model (e.g., DSP0408RTS).
- 3. Interface type: Select "Network Port".
- 4. Device IP: The default device IP is 192.168.20.20; no change is needed.
- 5. Login username: The default user name is "admin".
- 6. Login password: Select "Set login password", then input the default password "admin", and click "OK" to save.

10.6 Serial port connection method:
Use a USB cable to connect the device to a computer's serial port (except COM1). Open the software, right-click on the device list, select "Add Device", then pop up the device detail list. Modify device information, click "OK", return to the device list bar, select the device, and click login. Modify details as follows:
- 1. Local alias: Rename the local alias as your need.
- 2. Device type: Select the corresponding device model.
- 3. Interface type: Select "Serial Port".
- 4. Serial port: Click "Refresh serial port", then select the COM port (e.g., COM3 - USB-SERIAL CH340).
- 5. Click "Ok".
