How to swap devices for the Galaxy Connected Experience

Before you begin swapping devices
Before you begin - READ
These are steps that when completed before the swapping of devices can expedite the removal and installation of devices.
Steps to ensure a smooth setup experience:
- Ensure all fixture parts are available.
- For missing fixture follow the Samsung Repair and Maintenance System (SRMS) process.
- Ensure the phone is available, and existing tablet and watch are already in place.
- Contact store manager for missing devices.
- Charge each device to 25% or greater battery power.
- Removal must be completed first and the installation of devices can be completed simultaneously. (i.e. if software multiple device installation is needed.)
- Power on the device
- Connect each device to the same Wi-Fi or 5G network.
- Reference carrier appendix page for Wi-Fi name and ask the store manager for the Wi-Fi password.
- Wi-Fi passwords may vary by location.
- For Wi-Fi connection issues, contact the store manager.
- Pay attention to where you left off if you get interrupted during the setup. Often times you will need to go back and repeat the instructions on that slide.

- Obtain Wi-Fi network name and password from the store management team.
- Some stores may prefer to use a 5G SIM card.

Removing existing devices
Phone, deactivation of Retail Mode
Step 1
Tap screen to stop the attractor loop. Tap Demo screen five times in corner.

Select Device Settings. Toggle Deactivate Retail mode option.

Select OK to start the removal process. Select OK to uninstall Retail Mode.

Phone, factory reset
Step 1
Select the 'Settings' icon.

Type the password and tap 'Continue'. Passwords are case sensitive.

Phone Connected Experience setup
Phone, Initial setup
- Power ON the E3
- Initial Phone Setup using Sennco
- GCE Setup Video for TMO
- Wait for about 20 minutes to finish content download. (Duration may vary based on network speed)
Phone Software version & store verification
Step 1
Tap once on the attractor loop, tap five times on highlighted area (top right corner) of the Start on the Phone screen. Tap on Samsung Retail Mode app.

- Retail Mode Client app version: 3.30.6 or higher
- Channel and Store are accurate

Phone store number change
Step 1
Tap on Samsung Retail Mode app.

Select Store Settings.

Select Password line, then type in the Retail Mode password for the retailer. NOTE: Password is found on carrier specific page.

Step 4
The RMS Registration menu will be shown. Select Choose Store. Enter city or Zip code of the store. Select the correct store from the list.

Step 5
Select the store from the list available in pop-up. Enter the Retail Mode password.

Select Confirm to process the store number change. The main Retail mode screen will appear. Exit the application, and the attractor loop will begin shortly afterwards.

Tablet Store verification
Step 1

Watch Connecting to Wi-Fi
Step 1
Press the lower right side watch button five times. Swipe up and select the Samsung Retail Mode app.

Select Store Settings. Enter password 4555. Select Device setting from the settings list.

Select Wi-Fi to enable. Slide right for the On position. Swipe up to select the Wi-Fi network for connection.

Select Password. Select Password on the next screen to enter the password.

Step 5
The keyboard will appear for entry. For numerical or symbol entry, swipe up from the bottom. Select when done.

Step 6
Show the password. Select Connect. Connection will process. After connection, the Wi-Fi network will show connected. Press lower right button for the home screen.

Watch Store verification/selection
Step 1
Press the upper right button to turn on phone. Swipe up and select the Samsung Retail Mode app.

Step 2
Select Store Settings. Enter password 4555. Select Store from RMS Registration.

Select the Search bar. The keyboard will appear for entry. Key in city or zip code. Select when done. Select correct store from the list.

The store details will appear. Swipe to the bottom and select Register/Update. The main menu will appear with the message, "Registration data updated."

Technical verification of GCE
Step 1

Select the horn icon to display Hello!! On connected devices.
