Safety and Handling

Handle the Smart TAG with care. It contains sensitive electronic components, including batteries, and can be damaged. It may impair functionality or cause injury if dropped, bumped, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or if exposed to excessive heat or liquid, or to environments with high concentrations of industrial chemicals. Do not use a damaged Smart TAG.

Instructions for Use

Follow these steps to set up and use your Smart TAG:

  1. Place the anti-loss device on the back of your mobile phone and click "Search".
  2. Navigate to the "Add new item" page and select "Select other supported items".
  3. The device will prompt you to search for items (as shown in Figure 3). Click "Continue".
  4. Name your item (e.g., "Bicycles", "Backpacks") as shown in Figure 4. Click "Continue" and complete the registration as prompted.

Battery Information

The Smart TAG contains a coin cell battery (CR2032). The battery may need to be replaced during the product's life. Replace only with the same type and rating of battery, observing the correct polarity.

Key Functions

  • Power On: Press the function button once. A chime will sound, indicating it is powered on.
  • Power Off: Hold the function button for at least three seconds. You will hear two beeps, indicating it is powered off.
  • Serial Number Lookup by BLE: Press the function button twice rapidly. You will hear a confirmation sound.
  • Factory Reset: Press the function button four times rapidly, then hold it a fifth time until you hear a ringing chime.

Important Safety Information

Battery Safety: Keep batteries away from children. Do not ingest the battery. If ingested or placed inside the body, seek immediate medical attention. The intestine can cause severe chemical burns in as little as two hours, leading to serious injury or death. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the device and keep it away from children.

⚠️ WARNING: Do not swallow the battery; there is a chemical burn hazard.

Choking Hazard: The Smart TAG, its battery compartment door, battery, and case may present a choking hazard or cause other injury to small children. Keep these items away from small children.

Medical Device Interference

The Smart TAG contains components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields and magnets. These fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and the Smart TAG. Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for specific information regarding your medical device. Stop using the Smart TAG if it interferes with your pacemaker, defibrillator, or any other medical device.

Electrostatic Shock

When using this product in areas where the air is very dry, static electricity can build up. To minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge, avoid using this product in extremely dry environments or touching a grounded, unpainted metal object before use.

Important Handling Information

Discoloration of the Smart TAG after regular use is normal. To clean, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not press anything sharp on the rubber seal or on the battery terminal contacts inside the device. Do not get moisture in any openings or use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives to clean the device.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
