3. FUNCTION

Main Unit

The main unit features Volume buttons (+/-), Function buttons, an Intercom button, Audio output, and a Type-C Charging Port.

Basic Operations

There are two methods for operating your devices: voice commands and buttons. Select your preference.

  • Power On/Off
    • Button operation: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, power on" or "Hi Max, power off".
  • Phone Pairing
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, phone pairing".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.
  • Microphone On/Off
    • Button operation: Simultaneously long press the intercom button and any volume button for 2 seconds.
  • Activate The Intelligent Voice Assistant
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max". Note: The "Voice Dialing" switch must be turned on in the app first.
  • Volume Up/Down
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, volume up" or "Hi Max, volume down".
    • Button operation: Press the Volume + button to increase volume, and the Volume - button to decrease volume.
  • Restoring Factory Settings
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 5 seconds. The device will reboot and reset to the manufacturer settings.

Music

  • Play/Pause Music
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, music on" or "Hi Max, pause music".
    • Button operation: Press the function button once to play or pause music. Note: Ensure the music player is active.
  • Switch Music
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, previous track" or "Hi Max, next track".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds to switch to the previous track. Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds to switch to the next track.

Radio

  • Turn On/Off Radio
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, radio on" or "Hi Max, turn off the radio".
    • Button operation: Double tap the function button to turn the radio on or off.
  • Switch Station
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, previous station" or "Hi Max, next station".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the Volume + button to switch to the previous FM channel. Press and hold the Volume - button to switch to the next FM channel. Note: Radio function must be turned on.

Phone Call

  • Answer Phone Call
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, answer the phone".
    • Button operation: Short press any button to answer.
  • End Phone Call
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, hang up".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.
  • Reject Phone Call
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, hang up".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.
  • Automatic Call Answering Function On/Off
    • Button operation: Can be turned on and off by the ASMAX APP. Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds to toggle the setting.
  • Add An Incoming Call to Mesh Intercom
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds. Note: Ensure the "calling join in Mesh intercom" is already activated on the ASMAX APP during the mesh intercom communication.

4. COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS

There are 2 modes for this product: Group mode & Free mode.

ASMAX also supports universal pairing and communication with other brand Bluetooth headsets. Each ASMAX headset can be paired with one other Non-ASMAX brand headset. Moreover, ASMAX headset can bring Non-ASMAX users into the intercom group (maximum 4pcs ASMAX with 4pcs Non-ASMAX). Note: Requires other brand headsets to support universal pairing.

Group Mode

Group mode is a private intercom mode that uses MESH communication intercom technology. It requires mesh networking before intercom, and can support up to 4 people for mesh intercom.

  • Group Mesh
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, group mesh".
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. After hearing the number of team members on the broadcast, the group mesh is established.
  • Group Mode
    • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, group mode".
    • Button operation: Press the function button to switch between modes.
  • Cancel Group Mesh
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 2 seconds when in the group mesh state to cancel the group.

Free Mode

Free mode is an open intercom mode that does not require pairing. As long as you are in the communication range, you can automatically connect up to 4 people for intercom.

  • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, free mode".
  • Button operation: Press the function button to switch to free mode.

Bluetooth Universal Pairing

  • With power on, press the function button for 3 seconds. Voice announcement: "Start pairing". Note: Simultaneously, Non-ASMAX Bluetooth headsets need to activate Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • After pairing, voice announcement: "Universal pairing".
  • After connecting, voice announcement: "Universal connected".
  • Double click the function button to start intercom.
  • Turn off Bluetooth universal pairing: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.

End Intercom

  • Voice operation: Say "Hi Max, end intercom".
  • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds.

Create a group chat for leader in mesh intercom

Leader group chat can only be created in group mode and is one of the sub modes in group mode. It supports up to three people chatting and is used for private communication between the leader and core personnel during riding.

  • Create a leader group in group mode
    1. Click ASMAX WORLD app.
    2. Create a group mesh.
    3. Confirm the group members.
    4. Group owner clicks on the ☰ icon in the top right corner.
    5. Click on "Leader".
    6. Click on +.
    7. Select friends.
  • Switch between leader group chat and group intercom
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 2 seconds.

Create private chat for mesh intercom

Private chat groups can only be created in mesh networking, and it is one of the sub modes in mesh mode, used for 1V1 private communication during riding.

  • Create private chat groups in group mode
    1. Click ASMAX WORLD app.
    2. Create a team room and invite others to join the group.
    3. Click on the friend you want to send a private message to, then click to send a private chat invitation.
    4. Once the other person taps accept in the app, a private chat will be created.
  • Switch between private chat and group intercom
    • Button operation: Press and hold the function button for 2 seconds.
